God’s Word is Your Most Powerful Weapon in the Battle

When facing a trial or battle, the one thing that I have found to be my best weapon is the Word of God. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do NOT see yet. I have to exercise my faith and speak the Word of God over my situation.

Yes, I have been battling sickness and infirmity for the last year. The Drs keep ordering test after test and keep adding things to my chart for a diagnosis. (You can read about it here – Living Through a Season of Infirmity) But they are not God. God’s Word says I am HEALED already. I have to apply God’s Word to my body, just like I have to apply the ointment to my body and take the medicine the Dr. gave me.  God’s word will NOT return to Him void. It WILL accomplish that which it was set out to do! Speak it out! Our bodies may be our mountains, and they respond to our own voice. God promised that mountains would move when we SPEAK to them. Say Gods’ Word out loud, let your body hear it – and then watch and see what God does!

Do you have your Word ready?

Do you have the promises of God that apply to your situation?

That is your sword. Here are some of the promises of God I am using to build my faith and receive my healing.

God’s Word for Sickness:

And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you. – Deuteronomy 7:15

He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions. – Psalm 107:20

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
Save me, and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise. – Jeremiah 17:14

For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,
‘Because they called you an outcast saying:
“This is Zion;
No one seeks her.” – Jeremiah 30:17

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31

that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:  how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. – Acts 10:37-38

Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. – Luke 9:1

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they  will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” – Mark 16:15-18

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all. – Psalm 34:19

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.  – Isaiah 41:10

 So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. – Exodus 23:25

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed. – Isaiah 53:4-5

Lead Me to the Rock That is Higher Than I

There are days when the world comes crashing down. The days when the Dr. report is not good. The days when fear and anxiety wash over you like a cloud. The days when the fear of the future consumes you. These are the days I pray, “Lord, Lead me to the Rock that is Higher than I.”

From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. – Psalm 61:2 NKJV

God knows what you are facing. He knows the end from the beginning. He promised never to leave you nor forsake you, even if you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death. Hold us close Lord.

psalm 23

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4 NKJV

Lord, hold me and my friends during this trial. Help us to be more aware of your presence and your healing power. Make the wrong things right in Jesus Name.

Lord, we need you.

Lord I Need You

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You’re the One that guides my heart
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
Where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
When I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus, You’re my hope and stay
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
You’re my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

God Will Fight for You in the Middle of Sickness and Cancer

It wasn’t the news we wanted to hear. The “C” word. It wasn’t the news that God wanted either. He didn’t create disease and sickness. That came when Adam and Eve believed the lie that Satan told them and ate that damn apple.

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” -Genesis 3:1-5 NKJV

Adam and Eve knew GOOD.

They lived in Paradise and had everything they ever needed or wanted. There was no sickness. Then Satan lied to them, and they believed him. They ate the damn apple.

Now, Adam and Eve KNEW EVIL. And now, so do we.

EVIL came with the fall of man. So did sickness and disease. So did cancer. It was not God’s intention that his kids got sick. He does not want it any more than we do. Can He fix it? YES!

God made a way for man to be saved from sickness and disease, and came in the flesh as JESUS. JESUS paid the price for our sins and our fallen nature at the Cross of Calvary. “It is finished,” Jesus said. The price has been paid for all sickness, disease, sin, sorrow, suffering. We have been redeemed.

So how do we get from here to there?

I wish there was a switch to turn on and off. I wish that all disease was not here on planet Earth. God said we would have troubles.  In Heaven there will be no sickness, no disease, no sorrow, no tears. I wish we all were in Heaven now, but it’s not time yet. So here we sit in the mess. We aren’t there yet. Many of us battle sickness, disease, and even cancer.

How do we go on? We go THROUGH it. God promised to comfort us in our troubles. God sent the HOLY SPIRIT, the COMFORTER to be with us in the middle of the mess. God promised to HEAL. It may be here, it may be in Heaven. Sorry, that’s the Truth. We all want healing now and instantly. I wish it were like that. But it’s not. I know lots of amazing people who died and were healed on the other side. Either way – they were healed. And now, they are free. I have known people to be healed on this side of Heaven too. Miracles, signs, and wonders happen all the time in the Church. God is the Author of Miracles, all things are possible with God.

The hard part, I guess, is not knowing WHEN the healing will come. That’s what I struggle with. I know God CAN and WILL heal. I just don’t know WHEN. So I have to wait, and trust Him. I have to “Give God a minute,” like my husband tells me. Impatient me, who wants to wake up with everything ok and not have to do the trusting part. Yeah, that trust thing. (still working on this)

I don’t pretend to know it all. God says His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. I think he has a much bigger perspective on things than we do. He is the Author of Eternity right? Yeah, His vision is much bigger than mine.

So, here in the middle of the mess, I thank God that He is with us and we are not alone. Is this the path I would have chosen for myself or my loved ones? No, probably not. My perspective is limited. I don’t like trials or tribulations. I don’t like sickness. I hate cancer. But I know my God, and He will be by my side and yours in the battle. He will fight for us and will help us.

The Gift of His Peace

“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.  Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ” – John 14:25-27 NKJV

do not fear

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

God will fight

God will fight for you. He doesn’t like sickness or disease or cancer either…

We are the Fire Keepers

Have you ever watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics? I love that part. They bring the torch out and pass the fire from person to person.  According to Wikipaedia:

“The Olympic flame is a symbol used in the Olympic movement. Several months before the Olympic Games, the Olympic flame is lit at Olympia, Greece. This ceremony starts the Olympic torch relay, which formally ends with the lighting of the Olympic cauldron during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. The flame then continues to burn in the cauldron for the duration of the Games, until it is extinguished during the Olympic closing ceremony.”

The fire starts and ends the Games. Why do I bring this up? It’s not even a year for the Olympics. I went to a place in Michigan when I visited my sister in law last week that was called FireKeepers.  I saw that name and the waterfall with FIRE and thought of God.

God reveals Himself in the FIRE of our lives!

20180911_133736

  • God revealed Himself to Moses in the fire of that burning bush:

“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.  And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.  Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”

So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”

And he said, “Here I am.”

Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.” Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

 And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.  So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.  Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.  Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.””  Exodus 13: 1-10

  • Later on in Exodus, God came down in fire to talk to Moses again:

 “Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.  And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.  Then the Lord came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.”  Exodus 19:18-20

  • In the New Testament we evens see how we will be baptized with fire:

“John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

  • And then in Acts, the Holy Spirit comes down and into belivers like fire:

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” – Acts 2:1-4

God proves it to us over and over – where there is FIRE He speaks and He Delivers!

He put His fire inside of us, His Holy Spirit, to overcome the world.

God’s fire will burn up any sickness, illness, oppression, or any enemy that tries to come at us.

God has made us the Fire Keepers in the world!

The Sickness That God Delivered You From Might Try to Come Back.

Sickness. Illness. We live in a fallen world with sin and sickness everywhere. But our God delivers. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost and He heals them ALL. Now it might be here, or it might be on the other side, but He heals them ALL.

“Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.” Matthew 15:30 NKJV

I do not believe for one moment that God gives us sickness.

Did Jesus ever say,” Geez, I see that you are sick, come back tomorrow.” NO!

Did Jesus ever say, ” Man you really messed up, you better go get right with God before you come back here for healing?”  NO!

Did Jesus ever see someone sick and NOT heal them? NO!

I don’t believe for one one moment that God wants to”teach us something” with sickness. That is a lie straight from the Religious Spirit that man has put out there. Not God. He never said that.

God is good and He heals ALL.

” [ Behold, My Servant ] But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.” – Matthew 12:15 NKJV

Do we get sick. Yes. We live in a fallen world. We are living in theses bodies which get run down, stressed out, and sometimes sick. But when that happens there is our opportunity go to God and expect his healing. He promised us. There is no sickness in Heaven. So why do we think we have to be sick here?  Like it’s who we are or something. I am not a label. I am not an illness.  I am not going to talk about how bad I feel all day. We have the Spirit of the Living God in us – what we talk about will come to pass!  No wonder God said to be slow to speak. I refuse to agree with the Enemy of my soul. I have spent way too many years agreeing with the wrong guy.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5 nkjv

I am tired of the Body Of Christ believing all this stuff. He bore our sickness so we didn’t have to. Do I get sick? Of course I do. I am still human. But I refuse to label myself with this disease or that disease and say “This is me and I am my disease and its who I am.” – and take care of it like it’s a pet. I refuse to feed it. Sickness can shrivel up and die.

I was home today. I did it not well. About 6 months ago I was hospitalized with ischemic colitis. It was bad – blood, cramps, fever, etc.  The Doctor said I might have this disease and that disease. I said no. My God says I am healed. My husband and kids prayed with me. my Pastors  and their wives came and prayed with me. And we STOOD OUR GROUND. Guess what happened? God healed me. Did I take my medicine- yes. God uses Doctors and Nurses all the time to do His will and heal. Let’s use the help that God gives us and not get all religious about it.

Today, that same sickness tried to come back. I had the same symptoms. I thought.” Great – that same sickness that I had had was trying to come back on me..”  I had the heating  pad on my stomach all day to feel better. I even lost it for a minute and dug out all my hospital paperwork. My first thought was, “Great here we go again.”

Then I got mad. I stood up to that stupid colitis and said, “NO, you are not coming on me again! Get out of here is Jesus Name. I reject you and these demons who brought you to my door. My God healed me and I am standing in that healing.”God is good, Devil is bad. My God heals. He healed me the first time and you are not welcome here.

Stand strong my friends – no matter what the symptoms. Exercise your faith and watch and see what God will do.  This is not the end – only an opportunity to exercise your faith and watch God get the glory in your healing. He promised us healing – either here on earth or in Heaven. And I for one am going to take Him at His WORD!

The Good News? If it has a name it has to bow to Jesus!

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” – Philippians 2:8-11 NKJV

From Moaning and Groaning to Glory

It’s heck getting older. Sometimes our bodies do not cooperate. Sickness comes and sometimes stays a while. Yes, Jesus can and will heal. I just wish He would do it immediately. I am not a good patient. I admit it. I don’t like being sick. I don’t like not being in control of things. Yes, I have issues, lol!

Sometimes the healing that God promised us takes a while. So here I sit. The Bible says I should rejoice in my troubles. I have to say that is not my first response. I’m the girl texting, “Ugggh!” Moaning and groaning. No particular words. I don’t like to talk about any illness because I don’t want to give it more life. I know we have the power of life and death in our tongues and any kind of illness doesn’t get a stage or a microphone as far as I am concerned.

I pray and receive prayer. I have the Elders at Church anoint me with oil.  I read the Word and speak the Word. God says that by His stripes I am healed. Yes, I may have a few ugly symptoms kicking around in my body – but God’s Word is truth and He says I am healed. My body just doesn’t know it yet.

It brings me comfort to know that I am not the only one going through pain during this journey. Even Apostle Paul had a few issues. He had to remind himself and the Church to not become discouraged. We all age. It’s part of the process of this thing called life. God promised that with the sufferings would come a greater weight of glory. It will be worth it all.

I am determined to praise my way through this pain. I know that God will heal me and you both. I just don’t know when. Guess this is the part where I get to trust Him and take Him at His Word. Uggggh!

 “Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day.  For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]! So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.” – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 AMP

 “For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!  For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope  that the creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now.  And not only this, but we too, who have the first fruits of the Spirit [a joyful indication of the blessings to come], even we groan inwardly, as we wait eagerly for [the sign of] our adoption as sons—the redemption and transformation of our body [at the resurrection].  For in this hope we were saved [by faith]. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees?  But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.” – Romans 8:18-25 AMP

God Never Said We Wouldn’t be Sick

In this walk with God I have had ups and downs. I have been well and I have been sick. My question is why do other Christians think I have done something wrong to be sick? Currently I am walking through an illness, and so are members of my family. I did not ask to be sick. Neither did my family.  I do not want to be sick. I don’t know why I am am battling this illness. But I do trust that somehow, someway God will get the glory.

John 9:1-

Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

And here again, Jesus heals the sick. He can even raise the dead if it comes to that!

 John 11:1-4  Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

God never said there would be no sickness. One of God’s Names is Jehovah-Rapha, “the Lord who heals you”. To me, that means there is sickness out there. Jesus came to heal the sick and bind up the broken-hearted. He came to destroy the works of the Devil.

Yes, we live in a broken world. There is sin and sickness everywhere. Even in the Church. But let us not treat the sick as lepers. Let us not be an Old Testament Church and stone them. Let us be the Hospital that God had called us to be and exercise the Authority God gave us to cast out the sickness, not the person. I am blessed. Even though I was in the hospital last week both Pastors and their wives came to pray with me and anoint me with oil. Thank you Jesus! God bless Pastor Jeff and Carmen and Pastor Mike and Dee of Janesville Apostolic Ministries!

James 5:14-16

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Let us pray for one another – and not shame the sick. Pray for me my friends. And for my family. I pray the Lord restores you and yours, in Jesus Name. To God be the glory.

Who’s Report Will You Believe?

Who’s report will you believe? Yep. Lots of people have something to say, but just because they say it doesn’t mean it’s true.  Let me tell you a story. Our life has been a little crazy here the last 48 hours.  Yeah. But God has shown himself strong.

On Tuesday my youngest child A. went on a field trip. I packed his lunch and he walked all around a local campus with all the 8th graders. He had a great time. Then he went to track practice   The track team has conferences coming up this weekend  it was a sprint workout. The kids ran 5 -100 meters, 3-80 meters, 6-50 meters, and 5-25 meter all in 2 hours. That’s 1925 Meters or 1.20 miles. And the hottest and most humid day we have had yet here in WI at 86 degrees and no breeze.

I picked up my son up at 4:45. He looked whooped. When we got home he went to lay down. I cooked a pizza and went to get him after about an hour and things were wrong…really wrong. He was crying. He couldn’t move any of his muscles. He couldn’t get out of bed, he couldn’t stand up.  I took his temperature, it was 103.6.  I went and got my husband who was mowing, he ran in. Bob, who has served in the Army in Egypt (yeah, he was on Mount Siani!) knew it was heat stoke.  A. Started throwing up – 3 times. Bob carried him up the stairs and into a cold shower to cool him off. A. Had to sit on a bath chair I had as he couldn’t stand.

After that we put A. on the couch with the air on and a fan.  We put ice packs under his armpits.  Then the Gatorade and water…all night. With ibuprofen- which he threw up.  I monitered his temperature all night every 30 minutes. Got it down to 99.

Wed morning A. Was still dizzy. He tried to go to the bathroom and threw up again. Off we went to the Emergency Room. By this time he was too dehydrated for water to help. He needed an IV. We arrived around 8 am. They took his vitals and it showed heat stroke. He couldn’t stand on his own, his BP went up when he tried to stand.  The Dr and Nurse started the IV.  They gave him pain medicine and anti-nauseous medicine.

Bob, my husband and A.’s step-dad,  was at work. He called me and said, “Diana I don’t know what the Dr. Is going to say, but REJECT HIS REPORT.”  I said, “ok.”

The Dr. came in shortly after and said he thought it might be an appendicitis.  He ordered lots of blood work and a CAT scan.  A. Has never even had his blood drawn, so it was not really fun.  But after the pain medicine he slept for a while. I remembered what Bob had said. So I did not agree with the Dr. And I KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT and did not speak into that.  Yeah, not always easy for Miss D!

Long story short, my son had his CAT Scan, and the blood work.

Would you believe –

his appendix was NOT enlarged,

he had NO white blood cells in the test which meant NO infection an

his blood work was NORMAL!!!

They gave him 2 bags of saline through the IV…and sent us home after 8 hours in the ER.

So, my question is...WHOSE REPORT WILL YOU BELIEVE?

Just because a DR. Says something does NOT mean that it is true.  There is money to be made  in the Health-care business. Not every Dr. Wants to give you “health”. Seriously. They make lots more money if you are sick!  And more when you come back!  Now I am not bashing all Drs or Nurses (Kris my sister in law is an Angel – you would be blessed to have her as you Nurse!). And yes, I still go to the Dr. As does my family. Don’t get too extreme here. God can use doctors and nurses to heal. I am not saying not to go. Luke, from the Bible, was a Doctor. There are Doctors and Nurses that are in the Kingdom of God, and there are Doctors and Nurses in the Kingdom of the Enemy.  Ask the Holy Spirit who lives inside of you, as Bob did, and test the spirits.

Just because a doctor says something, doesn’t mean it’s true!

Is that what the Word of God says?

POINTS TO PONDER

  • What gave that Doctor the right to pronounce a death sentence over you?
  • You have potential (hidden ability) inside of you.
  • God put that inside of you when He made you.
  • You can manifest your healing because of WHO/WHOSE YOU ARE.
  • God put it on the inside of you when you were born again!
  • YOUR POTENTIAL IS DETERMINED BY THE ONE WHO MADE YOU – not some Doctor’s Report!
  • God knows us. He can heal us with what He put in us!
  • JESUS is the Great Physician. Have you consulted with Him yet?
  • Test the Spirits…some are from God and some are not.

No Wonder I Felt Sick Living in Abuse

No wonder I felt sick while living in Abuse. The effects are way more than just what happens when the Abuser acts out their anger. It is physical. And it made me sick. It is more than just emotions. I read this today and it really helped me understand. I remember that last year I was living in abuse I had all sorts of things going on physically. I ended up with weird medical things like Shingles – twice. And a month later Viral Meningitis. I would not wish that one on anyone. And then the girl problems…Ugggh.

This article says women living in abuse have THREE TIMES MORE problems with reproductive issues. And 48% more chance of being diagnosed with Depression – yep. Been there, done that. The scariest part for me was:

Abused women are 70 percent more likely to have heart disease,

80 percent more likely to experience a stroke

and 60 percent more likely to develop asthma than women who have not experienced abuse;

No wonder I was so sick!  If you are having physical problems with your health – see someone today.  Take the first step.  Domestic violence eats away at your body and your soul.  Break the silence and get help today.

Speak the Good Things

Ever had a sick kid? Yeah, me too. My husband shared something with me the other day that bears repeating. He asked me, “Diana why are you praying speaking about the sickness, why not declare the Word over your son? Speak LIFE over him.” Whoa! Instantly I changed the ‘direction’ of my prayer. I said, “He is righteous, he is the blood bought son of Jesus, he is a child of the King, he is well, he is whole, he is healed in Jesus Name.” Guess what? The sickness left!

Speak the good you want to see.

Ever talk trash about someone? Gossip, backbiting, idle words? How about that sarcastic self? I read that sarcasm was really suppressed anger. Yep. Hey guess what’s for dinner? Those words will come back to you, the fruit of your lips.

And this morning I got this in my e-mail:

The mouth of the righteous is a well of life…
Proverbs 10:11

Speak The Good You Want To See

Anyone can speak what he sees, but it takes faith to speak what you want to see. Anyone can state the obvious, but it takes faith to see the invisible and call it forth!

Our Lord Jesus always spoke the good that He wanted to see happen. He practiced this so much that at one time, He said, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up” (John 11:11). Everyone else, including His disciples, spoke of a dead Lazarus, who was already wrapped in grave clothes and laid in a tomb. But Jesus spoke of a Lazarus who was alive, and He called forth what He wanted to see. He said, “Lazarus, come forth!” and he who had been dead for four days arose and came out of the tomb (John 11:43–44)!

The Bible tells us that “God…who gives life to the dead…speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed” (Romans 4:17, AMP). Beloved, you are made in the image of God and His Spirit abides in you. So if you want to see good in your life, then begin to speak it into your life. Jesus died on the cross to give you an abundant life. You have a blood-bought right to call forth a healthy body, a fulfilling career and a blessed marriage and family. Speak boldly the good that you want to see and start to experience it!

Johnna, my daughter, is PUBLISHED!

Image

The Southern Lakes Anthology is a writing and art contest for third through eighth graders in all of Southern Wisconsin. Each school district may enter only 24 pieces for this competition.  Entries are submitted and judged at the district level. From there, they go to the regional-level judging to compete against their peers from other area school districts in the Southern Lakes region.

This is put on by the Whitewater Talented and Gifted Network. Students in participating districts can submit one of three types of writing–poetry, prose, or illustrated writing–for possible inclusion in the Southern Lakes Anthology. Yesterday was the awards ceremony for the winners from 32 different school districts.

The theme this year was “MAKE A MARK” .  Here is Johnna’s winning poem, I am so proud of her!  I believe she was the only 8th grader from the Milton School District to make it!

Marks,
red, splotchy, cancer-filled marks.
When we found out,
we left marks.
Hot tears streaming down our faces,
our noses stuffy,
our eyes puffy.
Doctors tried to help,
they only left more marks,
scars, stitches, and staple marks.
You left a mark on us,
Not a visible mark,
the kind of emotional mark you can’t see.
We left a mark on you.
We could tell by the way you clutched our hands as you passed.
Life is nothing but a bunch of marks.
One day, a mark could come along and destroy you inside and out.
