The Glory of God is Coming Down

It was a vision when I first woke up this morning – the glory cloud of God coming down like a sheet. Just like Peter saw at Cornelius’s house.

The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance  and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth.  In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air.  And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.”

But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”

And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”  This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again. – Acts 10:9-16 NKJV

The Glory of God is like a cloud – it will settle over us and our hearts and make all things new. Be ready for a visitation from the Almighty today friends. God is with us – Emmanuel!

Bible Verses on the Glory Cloud of God

  • Exodus 13:21-22:  The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
  • 1 Kings 8:10-12: It happened that when the priests came from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD. Then Solomon said, “The LORD has said that He would dwell in the thick cloud.
  • Leviticus 16:2: The LORD said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron that he shall not enter at any time into the holy place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, or he will die; for I will appear in the cloud over the mercy seat.
  • Psalm 97:2: Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
  • Job 26:9 “He obscures the face of the full moon And spreads His cloud over it.
  • Job 22:14: ‘Clouds are a hiding place for Him, so that He cannot see; And He walks on the vault of heaven.’
  • Revelation 14:14: Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.

Psalm 121: 1-8 NKJV

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?

My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.

The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

From Moaning and Groaning to Glory

It’s heck getting older. Sometimes our bodies do not cooperate. Sickness comes and sometimes stays a while. Yes, Jesus can and will heal. I just wish He would do it immediately. I am not a good patient. I admit it. I don’t like being sick. I don’t like not being in control of things. Yes, I have issues, lol!

Sometimes the healing that God promised us takes a while. So here I sit. The Bible says I should rejoice in my troubles. I have to say that is not my first response. I’m the girl texting, “Ugggh!” Moaning and groaning. No particular words. I don’t like to talk about any illness because I don’t want to give it more life. I know we have the power of life and death in our tongues and any kind of illness doesn’t get a stage or a microphone as far as I am concerned.

I pray and receive prayer. I have the Elders at Church anoint me with oil.  I read the Word and speak the Word. God says that by His stripes I am healed. Yes, I may have a few ugly symptoms kicking around in my body – but God’s Word is truth and He says I am healed. My body just doesn’t know it yet.

It brings me comfort to know that I am not the only one going through pain during this journey. Even Apostle Paul had a few issues. He had to remind himself and the Church to not become discouraged. We all age. It’s part of the process of this thing called life. God promised that with the sufferings would come a greater weight of glory. It will be worth it all.

I am determined to praise my way through this pain. I know that God will heal me and you both. I just don’t know when. Guess this is the part where I get to trust Him and take Him at His Word. Uggggh!

“Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day.  For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]! So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.” – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 AMP

“For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!  For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope  that the creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now.  And not only this, but we too, who have the first fruits of the Spirit [a joyful indication of the blessings to come], even we groan inwardly, as we wait eagerly for [the sign of] our adoption as sons—the redemption and transformation of our body [at the resurrection].  For in this hope we were saved [by faith]. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees?  But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.” – Romans 8:18-25 AMP

Rest in the Glory Zone

There is Glory where the Lord is. God said that we would see the glory and enter in the glory cloud. Just like Moses. In the Glory Zone there is no time. Rest in the Glory Zone. Receive restoration in the Glory Zone. It is a sacred place where God speaks to us. And we can speak to the Lord and to situations as well. Enter the Glory Zone. Repeat the words the Lord says to you – and watch them come to pass in your life and the lives of those you pray for. God has given you the authority to do His will on Earth. Speak it. Miracles happen in the Glory Zone. Release the Word of the Lord. Do not give up yet, the race isn’t over.

John 11:40 – Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

Habakkuk 2:14 – For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Isaiah 60:1 – Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

SHOW ME YOUR GLORY

by Kim Walker Smith of Jesus Culture

I see the cloud
I step in I want to see Your glory as Moses did
Flashes of light, rolls of thunder

I’m not afraid, I’m not afraid

Show me Your glory
show me Your glory
Show me Your glory
show me Your glory

I’m awed by Your beauty
lost in Your eyes
I want to walk in Your presence like Jesus did
Your glory surrounds me and I’m overwhelmed

But I’m not afraid, I’m not afraid

Show me Your glory
show me Your glory
Show me Your glory
show me Your glory

I long to look on the face of the One that I love
Long to stay; in Your presence is where I belong

Glory is coming

The glory is coming!
Do you feel it?

I saw a glimpse of it the other night on a sunset. One of those sunsets that take your breath away! I was driving 65 mph on I-90 and I still had to snap a picture. I wanted to stop and just crawl into that sky. God must have heard that prayer.

In prayer this morning I went for a walk with Jesus. Yes, in the spirit. It’s not like He knocks on my door like the pizza man. He met me in my prayers. And we went for a walk to the second heaven.

I asked Him, how did all those Apostle guys know what Heaven looked like? I mean they weren’t dead yet, they hadn’t been there physically yet. Jesus said they went for a walk with Him and thats how they knew. I read all about it this morning in Revelation 21.

And nobody had to go to a building for church cuz God was the Temple and He just walked with us everywhere. Jesus was the Lamp and His glory just light up the whole city. No sun, no moon, no need for electricity!  He is our God and we are His people.  Wow, cool trip. Thanks Lord.  I should stop and crawl into the sky more often!

Revelation 21 The Message (MSG)

Everything New
21 I saw Heaven and earth new-created. Gone the first Heaven, gone the first earth, gone the sea.

2 I saw Holy Jerusalem, new-created, descending resplendent out of Heaven, as ready for God as a bride for her husband.

3-5 I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: “Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They’re his people, he’s their God. He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone.” The Enthroned continued, “Look! I’m making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate.”

6-8 Then he said, “It’s happened. I’m A to Z. I’m the Beginning, I’m the Conclusion. From Water-of-Life Well I give freely to the thirsty. Conquerors inherit all this. I’ll be God to them, they’ll be sons and daughters to me. But for the rest—the feckless and faithless, degenerates and murderers, sex peddlers and sorcerers, idolaters and all liars—for them it’s Lake Fire and Brimstone. Second death!”

The City of Light
9-12 One of the Seven Angels who had carried the bowls filled with the seven final disasters spoke to me: “Come here. I’ll show you the Bride, the Wife of the Lamb.” He took me away in the Spirit to an enormous, high mountain and showed me Holy Jerusalem descending out of Heaven from God, resplendent in the bright glory of God.

12-14 The City shimmered like a precious gem, light-filled, pulsing light. She had a wall majestic and high with twelve gates. At each gate stood an Angel, and on the gates were inscribed the names of the Twelve Tribes of the sons of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, three gates on the west. The wall was set on twelve foundations, the names of the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb inscribed on them.

15-21 The Angel speaking with me had a gold measuring stick to measure the City, its gates, and its wall. The City was laid out in a perfect square. He measured the City with the measuring stick: twelve thousand stadia, its length, width, and height all equal. Using the standard measure, the Angel measured the thickness of its wall: 144 cubits. The wall was jasper, the color of Glory, and the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. The foundations of the City walls were garnished with every precious gem imaginable: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate a single pearl.

21-27 The main street of the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. But there was no sign of a Temple, for the Lord God—the Sovereign-Strong—and the Lamb are the Temple. The City doesn’t need sun or moon for light. God’s Glory is its light, the Lamb its lamp! The nations will walk in its light and earth’s kings bring in their splendor. Its gates will never be shut by day, and there won’t be any night. They’ll bring the glory and honor of the nations into the City. Nothing dirty or defiled will get into the City, and no one who defiles or deceives. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will get in.
