It’s heck getting older. Sometimes our bodies do not cooperate. Sickness comes and sometimes stays a while. Yes, Jesus can and will heal. I just wish He would do it immediately. I am not a good patient. I admit it. I don’t like being sick. I don’t like not being in control of things. Yes, I have issues, lol!
Sometimes the healing that God promised us takes a while. So here I sit. The Bible says I should rejoice in my troubles. I have to say that is not my first response. I’m the girl texting, “Ugggh!” Moaning and groaning. No particular words. I don’t like to talk about any illness because I don’t want to give it more life. I know we have the power of life and death in our tongues and any kind of illness doesn’t get a stage or a microphone as far as I am concerned.
I pray and receive prayer. I have the Elders at Church anoint me with oil. Â I read the Word and speak the Word. God says that by His stripes I am healed. Yes, I may have a few ugly symptoms kicking around in my body – but God’s Word is truth and He says I am healed. My body just doesn’t know it yet.
It brings me comfort to know that I am not the only one going through pain during this journey. Even Apostle Paul had a few issues. He had to remind himself and the Church to not become discouraged. We all age. It’s part of the process of this thing called life. God promised that with the sufferings would come a greater weight of glory. It will be worth it all.
I am determined to praise my way through this pain. I know that God will heal me and you both. I just don’t know when. Guess this is the part where I get to trust Him and take Him at His Word. Uggggh!
 “Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day.  For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]! So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.” – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 AMP
 “For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!  For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope  that the creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God. Â
For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now.  And not only this, but we too, who have the first fruits of the Spirit [a joyful indication of the blessings to come], even we groan inwardly, as we wait eagerly for [the sign of] our adoption as sons—the redemption and transformation of our body [at the resurrection].  For in this hope we were saved [by faith]. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees?  But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.” – Romans 8:18-25 AMP
