Wall of Fire Prayer

During times of trial and suffering, it helps me to remember what God said about himself. Who did he say He would be when I am in the firey furnace going through stuff I have no idea how to figure out?

God promised to be a hedge of fire around us and the glory within us.

  • “For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her [protecting her from enemies], and I will be the glory in her midst.’” – Zechariah 2:5 AMP

When life is crazy we have a secret place to go to. We can go sit at Jesus feet and baske in His presence. There we do not need words. We can rest in His presence and listen. We can open our hearts and minds to receive what God wants to tell us. God promised to protect us and hedge us in with His presence.

  • “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah”  – Psalm 32:7

When the enemy comes in like a flood the Lord will raise up a standard and deliver us. God is more than able to defeat any foe.

  • “So shall they fear
    The name of the Lord from the west,
    And His glory from the rising of the sun;
    When the enemy comes in like a flood,
    The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” – Isaiah 59:19 NKJV

God also promised us that he would use the fire of his presence to refine us. He will draw out all the impurities in our lives and wash us with His word. He is the potter, we are the clay. He will use the fire of His Holy Spirit and His Word to change us from the inside out.

  • “I will bring the one-third through the fire,
    Will refine them as silver is refined,
    And test them as gold is tested.
    They will call on My name,
    And I will answer them.
    I will say, ‘This is My people’;
    And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ” – Zechariah 13:9 NKJV

God will be with us in the fire, just like He was with those 3 boys in the furnace.  We are not alone. God is with us. And good news, we will come out on the other side and not even smell like smoke!

  • “And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste andspoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”  They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” – Daniel 3:23-25

Wall of Fire Prayer:

Dear Lord,

You know. You see. We put our trust in You Lord to deliver us from the enemy. Salvation is for us and our families Lord. Deliver us. You are not willing that any should perish. Be a wall of fire around us Lord and be the glory within us.

As we walk through this firey trial Lord, remind us that You are with us, just like you were with those 3 boys. Protect us Lord. Let us come out on the other side and not even smell like smoke.

Give us divine wisdom and protection Lord as we sit in your presence. Renew our strength, renew our minds, and make the  path clear to us. Go before us and prepare the way. Protect us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory forever and ever, amen!

The Lord is With You Mighty Warrior

We are all fearful at times. Life can be overwhelming some days. But when we are afraid there are promises of God that we can hold on to. 

Prayer for Comfort

Lead us to the Rock that is higher than I Lord. When my heart is overwhelmed I will cry to the Lord and He will hear me.  

Judges 6:12 When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” 

Lord your ways are higher than mine. You are my Strength and myShield  and my Protection. The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want. You will never leave me nor forsake me Lord. Comfort me Holy Spirit and let me lean on You as we go through this day, in Jesus Name

Ruth 3:11 And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All the people of my town know that you are a woman of noble character.

Stop TOLERATING the Jezebel spirit!
These are my notes from a teaching I saw from Pastor Robert Morris of Gateway Church 2011 Pastors Conference in TX.

The Jezebel spirit tries to get you to defile yourself on the inside or outside to disqualify you for ministry.

We should cast her out and those who commit adultery with her. Don’t allow this anymore. The Jezebel spirit only has power because we tolerate it. This is a constant battle for people in authority. As long as you are in authority you will run into this spirit.

Jezebel was rejected by her father and had a controlling mother. She/He is so wounded that they don’t want to be rejected. They are control freaks. Usually this spirit comes through a friend who wants to be your best friend.

Most of the time we don’t want to confront it because of what you will get back. Who in your church are you afraid to confront? You will get an over the top reaction or rejection when you do confront them.

Elijah addressed Jezebel and Ahab. Every Jezebel has an Ahab. Every person has been confronted by both of these spirits.

Revelation 2 speaks about what happens when you allow this spirit to continue.

What King of Israel conquered more land in the Old Testament?

1. Solomon
2. Ahab
3. David

Ahab was #2 which shows you can be a great conquerer and still be in bondage to a Jezebel spirit. Ahab couldn’t get the vineyard next door to his castle. He pouted. Jezebel got the land through manipulation, intimidation, lying, and fear.

6 ways to recognize Jezebel spirit

  1. Insecurity
  2. Rejection
  3. Pride
  4. Arrogance
  5. Manipulation
  6. Control

Jezebel can operate in a man or a woman. It is a manipulating, insecure, controlling, jealous spirit.

As long as you tolerate this spirit it is going to effect you!

4 effects or symptoms of how this spirit effects you
(From 1 Kings 19) when Elijah runs from Jezebel

1. Fear – Elijah ran for his life. Are you afraid to address someone in your church? It is a spirit.

2. Isolation – when you want to get away from everyone and everything.
Just want to be alone. You withdraw.

3. Exhaustion – you collapse, you are so tired you sleep for hours when you leave the area. It is a spirit.
Or if you have problems sleeping when you get back – you sense the oppression.

4. Depression. Elijah prayed that he would die. Many leaders are affected by this: Moses, Jeremiah, Jonah.

Thoughts of suicide are evidence of a Jezebel spirit attack  in your life. Impure sexual thoughts from out of the blue are evidence that you are under attack from a Jezebel spirit. And these thoughts are bombarding your mind, despite your best intentions.

Signs that You Are Being attacked by a Jezebel spirit

1. Thoughts of quitting. You want to quit what God has called and ordained you to do. You can be gracious with the person, but you can’t be gracious with the spirit.

2. Suicidal thoughts. This is evidence of a Jezebel spirit. Bombarding thoughts.

3. Depression. For example, do you find yourself relating to commercials on depression?

4. Having sexual impure thoughts. Bombarded with this stuff.

5. Strange and prolonged sicknesses.

6. Bizarre and near tragic/fatal accidents.

The spirit is trying to steal, kill, and destroy you!

Jezebel spirit tries to :

Steal your peace, joy, & confidence
Kill you with sickness & accidents
Destroy you with depression & fear

What is the Answer?

  1. Address it in the person. Be gracious to the person, but not the spirit
  2. Remove that person from all leadership unless the person repents
  3. Remove that person from any personal influence with you

You can’t remain friends with a Jezebel – they are not humble or teachable. That spirit will affect you.

1 Kings 19. Wind = Holy Spirit

Prophet, Priest, and King – Jesus

If you don’t deal with this. God will deal with you. Those who sleep with Jezebel were judged too.

He will remove you and raise up someone who will stand up to the spirit. And that person will have a double anointing.

What to Do:

Get with God
Seek Godly Counsel
Take action.

Prayer – repent for tolerating this spirit in leadership. Cast it out and trample that spirit. Forgive us Lord.

Take authority over that spirit. By the Name, blood, and the Power of the Lamb we rebuke Satan and every demonic spirit of control, manipulation, rejection, fear, intimidation.. go in Jesus Name!

Thank you for the breakthrough, in Jesus Name

They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—
as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star.

29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

Divine Protection and Superman Meet on Mothers Day

Ever get one of those nights you couldn’t sleep? Or two in a row? Yeah, me too. I woke up 3 times each night for two days in a row. And tried to go back to bed, no luck. I have learned that when this happens it may be God asking me to pray for someone or something. So after the 2nd time, I finally got it. I prayed without really knowing why or who it was for. This went on for two nights. Again, no idea who or what – just pray.

I heard about it on the third day. I’d like to to meet my 2nd daughter, Amamda. She is so strong and courageous. She truly is a strong woman that has overcome major obstacles in her life. She is a beautiful Artist, Jewelry Maker, and a bartender at a local Madison Cafe.

It was Mothers Day night. For whatever reason she told me her fellow co-workers decided to stay late after work that day and hang with her as she finished her shift. She works till like 3 in the morning. There were a few customers sitting down at the bar and one with a Superman shirt on.

Amanda told me a man came into the bar and pointed something at her. Demanded she empty the cash register. There have been multiple robberies in Madison bars lately with perps using semi-automatic weapons. She complied. She told me she took out the money from 1’s to 20’s out of the register, hesitated a minute, and something told her to lay the pile of money on the bar. She did. And here is where the customer with the Superman shirt on saw what was going on and stood up.

All I can say is thank you.

Thank you to Amanda for keeping her wits about her and calling the Police. You stayed calm and kept people safe.  (I would have lost it!)

Thank you to the co-workers who decided to stay later. (You rock!)

Thank you to the Superman customer who saw what was happening and decided to act, to protect, and stop the robber. He actually held him until the police arrived! (What a true hero!)

And thank you to God – for putting everyone right where they needed to be that night. Thank you Lord for keeping my daughter safe. Thank you Jesus for answered prayers (even when we don’t know what we are praying about!)  I love her so much, Mom/Diana Rasmussen 🙂

Nate’s Testimony of God’s Amazing Protection

Hey family, meet my friend Nate. He shared an amazing testimony this past Sunday with us at Janesville Apostolic Ministries and I asked him to share it with all of you.

Good Afternoon Diana sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. Here is what happened. My mom was picking Emily and I up from school and I set my backpack in the car and went to get in but was not in and mom began to pull away and the back tire rolled toward my foot. I knew I was going to get run over so I just said “Lord I trust You.” I am happy to report that even though I was taken by ambulance to the ER I did not have any broken bones or scrapes only a small tear in one of the ligaments in my foot. There were no bruises on my foot either. Furthermore, I did not require any pain medications either. The doctors said that I would be worse the next day but I was doing better the next day God is awesome!

Like Nate told me later, there is absolutely no scientific explanation of why his foot is not smashed. It got run over by a car! Isn’t that like 3000 lbs or something? No broken bones, no bruises…wow, God is soooooo cool! What a testimony!

The Blood of Jesus Brings Life. Yes, life, and life more abundantly. I was not raised in Church. So when people started talking about blood, I thought they were talking about death. Yet the kingdom of God is opposite the Kingdom of the World.

How Does the Blood of Jesus Help You

1. The Blood of the lamb – Jesus, brings life

The life is in the blood. His death brings you life.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11 NKJV

“for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.’” (Leviticus 17:14 NKJV)

2. The Blood of Jesus Protects you

“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever.” (Exodus 12:22-24 NKJV)

3. The Blood of Jesus brings you Cleansing

“Then he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.” Leviticus 14:24 NKJV

4. The Blood of Jesus brings you Salvation

“The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?” Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:52-54 NKJV)

5. The Blood of Jesus brings you Redemption

“And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you” (1 Peter 1:17-20 NKJV)

6. The Blood of Jesus Covers you with His Robe of Righteousness

“Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

And I said to him, “Sir, you know.”

“So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:13-14 NKJV)

7. The Blood of Jesus Brings you Victory over the Devil

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:10-11 NKJV)

ROFL with Restoration

ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing) with Restoration. Let me share a story. Once upon a time there was a girl who married a boy thinking life would be grand. But she was deceived. She used her name and her credit to buy him a van for his job. But he didn’t want to go. He didn’t “feel” like it. She followed him around for years as they lost house after house and car after car. After awhile the tow truck came and towed the van away – repossessed. They divorced after his unfaithfulness, yet the repossessed mark was still on her credit report…

Fast forward 13 years later for the Restoration:

The girl is remarried to a Prince. He goes to work. They buy a house in the country. She is so happy. They play music together all the time. They lead the worship team Janesville Apostolic Ministries. They needed a new car after meeting a deer. (See below)

The girl applied for a loan for a new used car. Her credit report sparkles. God gives her a car with no money down. Yes God can restore all things – even credit!

Now for the funny part:

Just as the salesman drives up to give the girl the new car her ex pulls into the car lot. He was dropping off the girl’s son. The salesman (who has no idea) pulls around the truck and parks the girls new car right in front of the ex. The salesman gives the girl the keys to her new car. The girls son gets out of the ex’s rusty truck and climbs into the new car. The ex glares at the girl with anger and then drives off. He gets lost in the parking lot figuring a way to turn around. The ex figures it out and drives by the girl and her son in a new car. If eyes were knives she would be dead. But no…

The girl? She is still ROFL with Restoration!

Testimony of Deliverance from Domestic Violence

Can I get a testimony? Does God really still deliver people? I mean I remember Noah and Abraham, and even Daniel and those lions. But does He really still do that kind of thing? My testimony is yes and amen!

So, how did I get here you ask?

Diana’s testimony of the goodness of God and his people:

I have lived in abuse, years upon years, relationship upon relationship. I have been married – (more than once), and I have been divorced – (more than once) to abusive men. I have been to the shelters, time and again. I have had restraining orders, had them broken, and called the police again. I have been to court more times that I can count. I have fought for my children and their rights for child support. I have had suicide attempts and thank you Lord, I did not succeed. I have been to the Mental Health Ward – more than once. I have gone to the counselors, taken the “happy pills” and lived in ‘la-la land” for months at a time. I have been treated for depression and at one time in my life , I did not get out of bed for 6 months. I have lived through 10 years of “meetings” and I’m still here!

I didn’t grow up in church. I knew there was a God, but I really didn’t think he wanted anything to do with me – not after what I had done. I viewed God like any other man I had met – a control freak who was out to hurt me. Until that last time at the shelter. My kids had drawn some pictures with the children’s counselor that rocked my world. They made me cry, and finally see the truth of abuse that we had been living in.

It was there in the Domestic Violence shelter that I said, “OK maybe I don’t know you God – can you just show me who you really are?” And things started changing. Our 30 day stay at the YWCA was lengthened to 40 days. And I was accepted to a new program at our local Salvation Army called Project Breakthru. It was a year and a half program and if I completed the classes they would help me with rent. I only paid 30% of my income. At the time I was waitressing – part time. I was afraid I wouldn’t make it. But God made a way – we had our own 3 bedroom apartment within a week.

Over the course of the next 18 months I had taken classes on budgeting, nutrition, Life Changing Courses, and more. Also went through another divorce another restraining order, and umpteen times to court to fight for child support. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

I have laughed, I have cried, I have believed, and I have doubted. But through it all, God has been faithful. He has made a way for me and my children where there was no way. He has protected me and my children supernaturally, more than once. He has provided for us faithfully – oh the stories I could tell. He has restored my peace of mind. I am no longer taking any ‘happy pills’. I do not hear “the voices” in my head that used to scream things at me, or whisper and laugh at me. I do not live in the land of shame and guilt anymore. And most importantly, my children and I are safe. No more fear, no more hurt, no more abuse. We have changed addresses!

I am not that same person I used to be. But I had to learn what healthy relationships were. And I had to learn to establish boundaries in my life. Today, I do not live in fear. Today I am not a victim of abuse, I am a beloved daughter of the King. I am life that God has touched, rescued, and changed. I know that God exists, He saved my soul from the pit. He protected me and my children, He rescued and delivered us, and I know He will do it for you too!

Divine Protection in Everyday Life

Divine protection in our everyday life.  God says He will never leave us and protect us right? Sometimes when I read the Bible I have a tendency to see God in the Old Testament and leave Him there.  Yep. I can see Him there with Ezekiel and the falling fire, with Moses on the mountain, with Daniel in the lion’s den. But what about here in my little corner of the world?  Today…now…and then some days He just shows up and you KNOW you saw His Hand in your life.

It started out like an ordinary day. Get 2 kids off to school, hubby went to do work, and I went up to my office to play with my new music toy.  Got a new plug-in for the recording software I use.  So I kinda get lost in my own little world sometimes.  Does that happen to you?

Anyway, before I knew it, it was time to pick up kids and get ready for the big game. Both of my kids are in basketball, and last night my daughter Johnna had a game in Monroe, WI – a town about an hour west of here.  Got her on the bus, and then went home again.  When Bob got home the three of us got into our Toyota and started on our way.  It was about 4:30 or so, and soon it would be dark.

We made it to Orfordville, about half-way through our journey when it happened. Just went through a stop sign, driving west with a car in front of us and another behind us. He came from the right. A thicket of trees. A jumping 10 point buck. Yep, a deer hunters dream jumped right in front of us. Hit him straight on. Deer meets Toyota.  Bob hit the brakes. Big thud.

And then the moment when time freezes and you see God’s Divine Hand at work in your everyday life.

The deer jumped, then time was in slow motion.  Car hit him, the silver hood bent up like an accordion.  And I see this huuuuge deer slide up our windshield.  The antlers were right in Bobs face. I got the body and the legs. And I’m picturing this deer coming right through the windshield.  I saw the glass shatter in my mind.  But it didn’t happen.  The windshield did not break. I felt the presence of God on the inside of our car…and His Hands holding the windshield up.

And then time went back to normal. The deer went up and over our car, and into the ditch on the other side of the road. Bob pulled over, the car started smoking, and leaking fluids. But Bob, my son Adam and I were all fine.  No injuries. Called the Police, called the insurance, called the tow truck.

Bob went to check on the deer.  Nothing like trying to see in the dark with only a cell phone for a flashlight. The deer was still alive! When the Officer came he had to shoot him twice, he had 3 broken legs, and his antlers were half-broken off. That happened when he hit the windshield. Yeah, the one that didn’t break…

Our friend Jeff came to give us a ride home. An older man with a pickup stopped and asked to have the deer.  He said he was retired and lived right up the road.  No problem – it took 3 of the men to load it into the truck. Yep, big deer. But God is greater. And I know His Hands were our Divine Protection last night.

After we got home Bob told me that He had laid hands on our car two days earlier and asked God to protect his family in that car. The prayer of a righteous man avails much. God heard and God answered with Divine Protection in our everyday life.  Thank you Jesus!
