The Blood of Jesus Brings Life

The Blood of Jesus Brings Life. Yes, life, and life more abundantly. I was not raised in Church. So when people started talking about blood, I thought they were talking about death. Yet the kingdom of God is opposite the Kingdom of the World.

How Does the Blood of Jesus Help You

1. The Blood of the lamb – Jesus, brings life

The life is in the blood. His death brings you life.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11 NKJV

“for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.’” (Leviticus 17:14 NKJV)

2. The Blood of Jesus Protects you

“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever.” (Exodus 12:22-24 NKJV)

3. The Blood of Jesus brings you Cleansing

“Then he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.” Leviticus 14:24 NKJV

4. The Blood of Jesus brings you Salvation

“The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?” Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:52-54 NKJV)

5. The Blood of Jesus brings you Redemption

“And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you” (1 Peter 1:17-20 NKJV)

6. The Blood of Jesus Covers you with His Robe of Righteousness

“Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

And I said to him, “Sir, you know.”

“So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:13-14 NKJV)

7. The Blood of Jesus Brings you Victory over the Devil

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:10-11 NKJV)

God’s Promise to You

So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!

This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!  (Romans 8:12-17 MSG)

My Prayer for You

Dear Lord,

I thank you that you adopted us as your kids.  Forgive us for always beating up on ourselves – we are not grasshoppers!  Today, we let go of negative thinking, bad mouthing ourselves, and hopelessness. We are going to cling to Your Promises and Your Truth!

Addictions

This is a poem I wrote back in 2003.  I used to go to a lot of 12 step meetings trying to “find myself”. As a result of that, I put a lot of labels on who I thought I was.  I was wrong. Today I let God define who I am.

These are my thoughts, and I do not intend to offend anyone going to a 12 step program.  I did for about 10-15 years. It helped me for a time.   I’m just saying, there is more. God can and will deliver us.  There is healing and deliverance in Jesus Christ.

ADDICTIONS

What if addictions were a lie?

What if the cravings – want to, got to have it,

weren’t reality?

What if the truth could set you free?

What is what is – is yet to be?

What if He’ll give you eyes to see?

The difference between lies and reality.

So stop, be still, He’s there.

Admit you can’t – He can.

He can – He will – He did.

He died for you and for me;

and paid the price for all eternity.

You’ve accepted that – confessed it too.

Now just be still.

Accept His Life –

He died to give it to you.

GOD’S PROMISE TO YOU:

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NIV)
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. (Revelation 12:11)

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.  (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

MY PRAYER FOR YOU:

Dear Lord,
You know who we are, we were made in Your image.  Forgive us for thinking we knew all the answers.  Open our eyes to see us from Your perspective today.  We cast down any high and lofty thought we have about ourselves that has risen to be King of our imagination.  You alone are King Jesus. Show us who we are Lord, in Jesus Name.
