Gratitude is a Magnet for Miracles

Have you ever played with a magnet? It draws metal to it by its nature. It doesn’t have to think about it, do something special or do anything to earn it. it just does it, because that is what it was created to do.

Gratitude is a Magnet for Miracles!

Are you grateful today? If not, make a new choice today. Choose gratitude and watch and see what God will do!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 | NIV

Gratitude dispels fear and anxiety. Gratitude makes room for God to work!

Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

What You See is What You Get

WYSIWYGPsalm 23_5

What you see is what you get

But my God isn’t finished yet

He calls me friend

I’m not condemned

Haven’t you heard?

It’s a new thing

Changing me

from the inside

Not by power

Not by might

But by His Spirit

All things made new

Good measure

pressed down

shaken together

My cup runs over

So many blessings

I can’t contain

Whole from the inside

Blessed Beyond Belief

“He Knows My Name”

by Francesca Battistelli

Spent today in a conversation
In the mirror face to face with
somebody less than perfect
I wouldn’t choose me first if
I was looking for a champion
In fact I’d understand if
You picked everyone before me
But that’s just not my story
True to who You are
You saw my heart
and made
Something out of nothing

[Chorus:]
I don’t need my name in lights
I’m famous in my Father’s eyes
Make no mistake
He knows my name
I’m not living for applause
I’m already so adored
It’s all His stage
He knows my name oh, oh,
He knows my name oh, oh

I’m not meant to just stay quiet
I’m meant to be a lion
I’ll roar beyond a song
With every moment that I’ve got
True to who You are
You saw my heart
and made
Something out of nothing

[Chorus]

He calls me chosen, free forgiven, wanted, child of the King,
His forever, held in treasure…
I am loved

I don’t need my name in lights…
I’m famous in my Father’s eyes…

[Chorus]

Blessings Will Come to You

Another Life Lesson for Ms. D on the farm.  Just sitting on the porch one morning and a whole flock of blackbirds just flew in and landed right in front of me. They came from the trees, the sky, the ground. They were literally everywhere! I sat in awe watching. More and more, the grass kept filling up with more birds. And I’m thinking, “OK,  this is kinda creepy, should I be freaked out right now?” But no, I didn’t freak out. It was like watching nature unfold before your very eyes. I wondered what it meant.  I had no idea.

Here we are a day later. Finally Holy Spirit answered. I am so impatient. I am so used to our “instant” society and “fast” food that sometimes I forget to wait and pray and listen. My message?

You do not need to chase the blessings –

they will come to you!

Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!

Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 The Message (MSG)

If you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, and heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, God, your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of the world. All these blessings will come down on you and spread out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of God, your God:

God’s blessing inside the city,
God’s blessing in the country;
God’s blessing on your children,
the crops of your land,
the young of your livestock,
the calves of your herds,
the lambs of your flocks.
God’s blessing on your basket and bread bowl;
God’s blessing in your coming in,
God’s blessing in your going out.
God will defeat your enemies who attack you. They’ll come at you on one road and run away on seven roads.

God will order a blessing on your barns and workplaces; he’ll bless you in the land that God, your God, is giving you.

God will form you as a people holy to him, just as he promised you, if you keep the commandments of God, your God, and live the way he has shown you.

All the peoples on Earth will see you living under the Name of God and hold you in respectful awe.

God will lavish you with good things: children from your womb, offspring from your animals, and crops from your land, the land that God promised your ancestors that he would give you. God will throw open the doors of his sky vaults and pour rain on your land on schedule and bless the work you take in hand. You will lend to many nations but you yourself won’t have to take out a loan. God will make you the head, not the tail; you’ll always be the top dog, never the bottom dog, as you obediently listen to and diligently keep the commands of God, your God, that I am commanding you today. Don’t swerve an inch to the right or left from the words that I command you today by going off following and worshiping other gods.

Luke 1:45

Blessed – Teen Bible Study

Blessed.   Yes we are blessed. We are blessed on the inside and blessed on the outside. Blessed in our coming and blessed in our going.  I pray that God restores to you any and everything you have lost, in Jesus Name.  You are blessed!

God, release these blessings upon your people today, in Jesus Name!

If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.

Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field.

Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock.

Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading trough.

Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out.

The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

The Lord shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouse and in all that you undertake. And He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

The Lord will establish you as a people holy to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.

And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name [and in the presence of] the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.

And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.

The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them. (Deuteronomy 28: 1-13 AMP)

“The Invitation – Trevor Morgan (with lyrics)” on YouTube

Trevor Morgan – The Invitation Lyrics

Lay down your fears and your burdens
You don’t have to face them alone
Anyone tired or hurting inside
Love is leading you home

The blessed and the broken
The weak and the strong
Will all find rest at the Throne of God
There is no condemnation
His arms are open wide
This is the invitation to your life

Come as you are to his mercy
Find all that you were meant to be
Cling to the savior who has led you this far
And live with a soul set free

CHORUS

There is healing like you’ve never known before
Salvation’s right here at your door
This is your invitation
What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?

Repeat chorus 2x

God Blesses What Was Broken

I refuse to be bound by my past,
I will not be defined by your label.
Only God knows the road I’ve traveled,
God blesses what was broken.

All things work together for good,
‘Cuz I am called and chosen.
Nothing will be wasted or thrown away,
God blesses what was broken.

Sometimes I’m the kid with a brown bag lunch,
Only 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish.
I give it to Jesus, suddenly things are changed.
God blesses what was broken.

He gathers the pieces left over,
He lets nothing be wasted.
All things will work out for good,
‘Cuz God blesses what was broken.

GOD’S PROMISE TO YOU:

 Hosea put it well:

I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies;image
I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved.
In the place where they yelled out, “You’re nobody!”
they’re calling you “God’s living children.”

Isaiah maintained this same emphasis:

If each grain of sand on the seashore were numbered
and the sum labeled “chosen of God,”
They’d be numbers still, not names;
    salvation comes by personal selection.
God doesn’t count us; he calls us by name.
Arithmetic is not his focus.  (Romans 9:25-28 MSG)

Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.” (1 Corinthians 1:26-31 MSG)

Jesus got them all to sit down in groups of fifty or a hundred—they looked like a patchwork quilt of wildflowers spread out on the green grass! He took the five loaves and two fish, lifted his face to heaven in prayer, blessed, broke, and gave the bread to the disciples, and the disciples in turn gave it to the people. He did the same with the fish. They all ate their fill. The disciples gathered twelve baskets of leftovers. More than five thousand were at the supper. (Mark 6:39-44 MSG)

imageMY PRAYER FOR YOU:

Thank you Lord, that you pick up what the world does not want.  We knew we didn’t belong here; we never fit in.  You know what our lives look like, the “breaking” that we have been through.  Have mercy upon us and bless us Lord in the broken parts – crazy, unmerited, bountiful blessings… Let our blessings overtake us, so much that we cannot contain them.  Fill all those around us and let there be leftovers, in Jesus’ Name!
