Don’t Throw It All Away

So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.

So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

Light of the World

Light of the World

Once more Jesus addressed the crowd.

He said, I am the Light of the world.

He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark,

but will have the Light which is Life

The Sun of Righteousness – Weekly Photo Challenge

“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings.

And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.

Majestic Masterpiece – Weekly Photo Challenge

MAJESTIC - Weekly Photo Challenge

God is higher than anything and anyone,
outshining everything you can see in the skies.
Who can compare with God, our God,
so majestically enthroned,
Surveying his magnificent
heavens and earth?
He picks up the poor from out of the dirt,
rescues the wretched who’ve been thrown out with the trash,
Seats them among the honored guests,
a place of honor among the brightest and best.
He gives childless couples a family,
gives them joy as the parents of children.
Hallelujah!
(Psalm 113:4-9 MSG)

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: NOSTALGIC

Nostalgic. Sometimes, we long for the past: for moments we want to remember or recapture. The good times. The golden years. Or perhaps we’re homesick, or longing for something — or someone — that might have been.

Remember these? My mom used to buy them and hide them in between the couch cushions. She was diabetic and they weren’t exactly in the diet. She’s in heaven now, eating all the peanuts she wants!
Love you mom, Diana

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Golden Hour

The Golden Hour. In photography, the “golden hour” is the first and last hour of sunlight of the day.

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe]. (Psalm 103 11-13 AMP)

My Prayer for You:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for the beauty you show us everyday.  You are an amazing artist, and we stand in awe of what you have made.  Thank you for Jesus, thank you for not keeping a record of everything we have done wrong.  You nailed it to the cross with Jesus, He took our punishment. We let go of the guilt and shame today, it is already paid for – we have been redeemed. Jesus bore our sicknesses and our diseases on that cross. It is finished!  Thank you for your mercy and loving kindness with us, your kids.  Love you God…

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: CURVES

Share a picture of CURVES and explain why you chose that picture.

Sometimes I wish my life was this organized! Everything in its place, sorted by color, perfectly in line. But then I think – nooooooo! That would be too boring for me! 😉 🙂 =)

Blessings to you,

Diana

Happiness For Sale?

Image

Every so often my husband takes the pictures off my phone, and puts them on his computer.  I said to him tonight, “Hey, do you have that picture of the smileys for sale?”  Of course, he asked where was it taken? I don’t know (idk). When was taken? idk.  Where was it taken? idk.    But, being the good detective he is, he found it and sent it to me with the following description,

“The photo of that place with a smiley face but I don’t know when or where!”
yep, Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus….lol ;D

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: CHANGE

I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.  Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:50-52 NIV)

Walking By Faith in My Neighborhood – Weekly Photo Challenge

Phoneography Challenge:My Neighborhood

It’s here: our first phoneography challenge!

“To kick this off, grab your phone and head out the door. That’s right — get on your feet and go outside to explore — and document — where you live. I want to see your neighborhood: The path you take for your daily morning run. Your local coffee shop or dive bar. The nearby alley of street and community art. A shot of the intersection that perfectly captures the bustle of your own corner of town. Or a serene landscape view of your village”

Around the corner from our house is a Golf Course.  I took this picture with my phone a few days ago during our last snowstorm.  I think that day we got 6-12 inches here in Wisconsin.

It is a tree (obviously), no leaves, surrounded by snow. In winter.  Sometimes that is how I feel, it’s winter in my soul.

But yet, It is still a tree, no matter how it looks today. It may look desolate, but Spring is coming. No matter how I feel, Spring is coming.  A new season is just around the corner.

The leaves will bud soon and it will turn green, and so will I, and so will you.  We just may not see it yet.

This tree is on a golf course, surrounded by green grass and pools of water – you just can’t see it yet.

That is what faith is, believing in what we can’t see yet. Even though it looks like winter with our senses, we are still a green tree, planted by living waters.  God says so.

Let us look through our Faith and not our eyes:

Here is the same Golf Course 🙂

GOD’S WORD FOR YOU:

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
    its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”  (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV)
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3 NIV)

MY PRAYER FOR YOU:

Dear Lord,
Let us look through our faith, and not our eyes today.  Thank you for planting your Word and Your Promises deep in our hearts.  They will sprout up and they will grow. We choose to trust You and Your Word today, no matter how things look on the outside, in Jesus’  Name.
