Don’t Throw It All Away

So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.

So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

Once more Jesus addressed the crowd.

Majestic Masterpiece – Weekly Photo Challenge

MAJESTIC - Weekly Photo Challenge

God is higher than anything and anyone,
outshining everything you can see in the skies.
Who can compare with God, our God,
so majestically enthroned,
Surveying his magnificent
heavens and earth?
He picks up the poor from out of the dirt,
rescues the wretched who’ve been thrown out with the trash,
Seats them among the honored guests,
a place of honor among the brightest and best.
He gives childless couples a family,
gives them joy as the parents of children.
Hallelujah!
(Psalm 113:4-9 MSG)

Peanuts, Peanuts, Anyone for Peanuts?

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: NOSTALGIC Nostalgic. Sometimes, we long for the past: for moments we want to remember or recapture. The good times. The golden years. Or perhaps we’re homesick, or longing for something — or someone — that might have been. Remember these? My mom used to buy them and hide them in between the couch … Read more

Mercy at Sunset

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Golden Hour The Golden Hour. In photography, the “golden hour” is the first and last hour of sunlight of the day.    For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far … Read more

Happiness For Sale?

Every so often my husband takes the pictures off my phone, and puts them on his computer.  I said to him tonight, “Hey, do you have that picture of the smileys for sale?”  Of course, he asked where was it taken? I don’t know (idk). When was taken? idk.  Where was it taken? idk.   … Read more

CHANGED – In the Twinkling of an Eye

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: CHANGE

I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.  Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:50-52 NIV)
