Nothing is Wasted

NOTHING IS WASTED   By Jason Gray The hurt that broke your heart And left you trembling in the dark Feeling lost and alone Will tell you hope’s a lie But what if every tear you cry Will seed the ground where joy will grow And nothing is wasted Nothing is wasted In the hands … Read more

Addictions

This is a poem I wrote back in 2003.  I used to go to a lot of 12 step meetings trying to “find myself”. As a result of that, I put a lot of labels on who I thought I was.  I was wrong. Today I let God define who I am. These are my … Read more

Transformed

TRANSFORMED Transformed from glory to glory, as the LORD renews my mind. Restored by the image of God, through Jesus Christ my Lord. I’m changing from day to day, as I behold His face. I’m just a reflection, of His Spirit in me. I’ve been planted by the Master Gardner, with the seed of the … Read more

Restored

(This post may trigger old feelings, stop and be safe if you need to) I woke up yesterday and God gave me the verse, “I will restore the years that the locusts have eaten.” That’s a lot of years.  There were times when I thought I would never be well.  Times when I had given … Read more

The Broken are Becoming the Chosen

“Hope Will Lead us On” by Barlow Girl

(Verse 1)
Rise up again
Shake off the shadows
Unlock the doors
and let hope live once more
Cause up from the ashes
oh the fire is woken
Cause those who were broken,
are becoming the chosen

(Chorus)
So lift up your eyes
Cause we’re not forgotten
And hope will lead us on
Oh we pray for the dawn
and we reach for the mornin’
And hope will lead us on

(Verse 2)
Come let us see
Beyond these moments
Open our eyes, to to see the truth that You see
Cause all that we know now
When You’re all we hold to
You can’t disappoint us, it’s safe here with You

(Chorus)
So lift up your eyes
Cause we’re not forgotten
And hope will lead us on
Oh we pray for the dawn
and we reach for the mornin’
And hope will lead us on

And hope will lead us on
And hope will lead us on
And hope will lead us on

Define Yourself

Define yourself radically as one beloved by God. This is the true self. Every other identity is illusion.

From: Abba’s Child: The Cry of the Heart for Intimate Belonging

I started reading this book last night, and wow….great read!  It made me think of all the labels I have given myself in the past.  Hi, my name is Diana and I am a _____________.   I have put many things on that line, how about you?  A lot of times I filled in that blank space with what others have said about me.  And it wasn’t even true.

I have found, if I associate and call myself something, that is what I become.  Words are very powerful, especially the words that I speak over myself.   Words have the power of life and death.  We can build someone up, or tear them to shreads, – all with our words.  And, I can do this to myself, all by myself.  I never really used to pay attention to how I talk about myself until a friend pointed out that I was always cutting myself down.  How about you?  Now I’m not going to extremes either.  I don’t sit in front of the mirror for hours like the Queen of Snow White either

Back to the with the premise above.  I am beloved by God…whether I feel it or not.  If God said it –  it is true. I looked up what “beloved” meant:

1.  greatly loved; dear to the heart.
2.  a person who is greatly loved.
Synonyms
1. cherished, precious; sweet, darling.

And that’s how God sees you too – beloved.

And here’s a great video called WORDS, by Hawk Nelson…

GODS PROMISE TO YOU:

My beloved spoke and said to me, Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. (Song of Solomon 2:10 NIV)

And the Lord answered, Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.  Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands; [O Zion] your walls are continually before Me. (Isaiah 49:15-16 AMP)

A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].  (Proverbs 18:20-21 AMP)

MY PRAYER FOR YOU:

Dear Lord,

Renew our minds. Help us shake off the labels that we have put upon ourselves that keep us in bondage.  We want to be free of anything that has not come from You.  And Lord, we give you permission, to pull out the lies that we have believed about ourselves.  And pull out the lies that others have spoken over us too, k? And the lies hat have been planted there by the enemy too… Pull out the weeds Lord, so your Word can grow more freely, in Jesus’ Name.

The Spirit of the Lord

Rejoicing in the Word with Isaiah 61.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
