You’re Father to the fatherless.
and Healer of my brokenness.
You’re the Husband to the Abandoned One.
You are the Righteous One I love.
*
You’re the Keeper of my inner peace
You are the Sustainer of the Universe.
You’re my Protection from the Evil One.
You are the Righteous One I love.
*
You’re the Healer of all disease.
You put Your Robe upon my shoulders.
You’re the Comforter of my soul.
You are the Righteous One I love.

The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.  Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. (Psalm 9:9-10 NLT)

*

 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted;

you consider their grief and take it in hand.

The victims commit themselves to you;

you are the helper of the fatherless.(Psalm 10:14 NIV)

They were married for years when he said goodbye.
Walked away from promises he made.
She found herself forsaken, betrayed.
Lord, meet her in her brokenness.
*
Another broken heart in a broken world,
trying to make sense of her suffering.
Life isn’t fair, it doesn’t always make sense.
Lord meet her in her brokenness.
*
She kneels by her bed every night in prayer.
Praying for a child lost in addiction;
drinking and drugging to numb the pain.
Lord meet her in her brokenness.
*
Another broken heart in a broken world,
trying to make sense of her suffering.
Life isn’t fair, it doesn’t always make sense.
Lord meet her in her brokenness.
*
The kids moved out, and the house is too quiet.
She’s left with boxes of her memories.
Trying to figure out where time went.
Lord, meet her in her brokenness.
