Childhood Revisited – Hell on Earth

Sure, you turned out pretty good, but is there anything you wish had been different about your childhood? If you have kids, is there anything you wish were different for them?

One thing I would change – no more rapes or abuse of women. No more hurting children who end up as wounded wives and mothers. Only Jesus, love, healing, peace and forgiveness.  End of story.

2012 Diana Rasmussen

A story of a girl who was abused and raped, and the healing Jesus provides…

She was only a child, she tried to tell him no,
But he would not listen, a part of her he stole.
She felt used and dirty, couldn’t wash away the stains.
She bottled up her emotions, and buried her pain.

She would smile on the outside,
but she was dying on the inside,
She knew sorrow and shame.
She’d been through hell on earth.

She turned to drugs and razors, tried to cut the pain away.
Went from lover to lover, but no one could fill that place.
Jesus met her in her anguish,  He carried away her sorrow.
In His eyes, she was blameless, an innocent child again.

She would smile on the outside,
but she was dying on the inside,
She knew sorrow and shame.
She’d been through hell on earth.

Jesus said, “I saw what He did to you;
nothing is hidden from His gaze.
And I AM coming back soon,
I’ll avenge your enemies.”

cuz, she’d been through hell on earth.

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). (John 10:10 AMP)

The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted,  The God Who avenges me and subdues peoples under me, Who delivers me from my enemies; yes, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You deliver me from the man of violence(Psalm 18:46-48 AMP)

If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [God’s] wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay (requite), says the Lord. (Romans 12:18-20 AMP)

My Prayer for You:

Dear Lord,

I know that there are many who have been wounded and hurt by wicked, evil men.  I know that You are good, and You did not want them to be hurt – what those men did was wrong.   I know You give every person the choice to choose good or evil, and that some men choose evil.  I thank you Lord, that I can trust you to deal with these evil people, because You promised to take care of it.  I trust in You, my hope is in You, and I cannot hold onto this hate anymore.  I give them (all of them) and my hate to You Lord.  Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.

And Lord, I would ask that you protect, heal, and deliver all the women that have been hurt, raped, or abused, in the mighty Name of Jesus.

  1. I really loved your “My Prayer For You” I read it and it a evoked SO many emotions. Very touching, thank you.

  2. Diana,

I’m not sure when you published this, but as I read it and listened to your song, it ministered to me. May the Lord continue to bless you, my sister, as you walk in His will, ministering to those who have suffered the pain and shame of abuse. I pray, that as you walk in His marvelous light, you would continue to expose the darkness of abuse for what it is, so that many other women will be set free in Jesus’ name. For as you know, there is hope and freedom in none other but Him. God bless you and your ministry, Diana!

Much love to you and many blessings,

    • Thank you Cheryl, I receive it! You are one of the women I admire here on WordPress, your posts are so honest and true. May the God of all comfort, comfort you in your troubles…

      • Wow – thank you. I give Him glory, because He is comforting me in so many ways that it leaves me shaking my head in awe of Him. What a great and wonderful God we serve – He’s never to busy to care for the least of us, and I am so grateful.

God bless you and your ministry. He is going to use you to heal many broken women. Indeed, He has already begun to do that, but it will increase, because there are so many battered and abused women in these last days, who can’t find healing by going to secular psychiatrists and counselors. For you and I both know that true healing only comes through Jesus.

God bless you as you continue to point the way to Christ,

  3. We may not understand why abuse and violence happen but one thing is for sure GOD loves us so much.Giving His only son to ransom us from sin is one of the thousand proofs. We just have to trust in Him.Thank You so much for this article!

  4. Jesus pray for those who prosecute you. Powerful post, Diana. I pray for all those who suffer nightly. I pretty sure my Prayers are heard.

    • Amen girl, I do, and I have prayed for the abusers in my life. They need healing too. And I pray for the women who suffer at night as well – Lord, send them peace, and deliverance. Protect them from the devourer’s mouth and the enemy’s blows. Heal their hearts and give them hope. Lead them out of Egypt, in Jesus’ name.

    • Yes, I am sure your prayers are heard. You are one of God’s chosen and elect; You are the apple of His eye, and His beloved bride…

      • May I say “WE” are the chosen, apple of HIs eye and our BridgeGroom.
        Blessed be God forever.

  5. Wow….thank you for this!
