Choose Hope Despite What You See

I had the most beautiful comment from my friend Susan Fox the other day.  It really helped me get out of a ‘funk’ and get on with life.  I never really thought about choosing to hope. I guess I was just kinda waiting for it to fall out of the sky or something, lol! I would like to share it with you:

Oh, bless you, dear Diana. We must continually choose hope, continually lift our eyes up and outward at God’s amazing creation, continually allow ourselves to be awed by the light and life He brings every morning. As we choose hope, as we stay yoked to Him, we cling to the Life that is our inheritance, and our hearts open to the love, grace and mercy that He freely offers. As we choose hope, we are able to be filled with His peace, and our faith is bolstered in the One who lifts us beyond our circumstances, the One who is always faithful, the One who makes us new.

Today is a new day, and we can make a new choice – CHOOSE HOPE!

Actually, my mom named me after her best friend in High School.  But I have to say, looking this up was kinda freaky.  I am not really a mythology girl. I remember reading all those books in High School, but that was about it.  It was just too “pretend” for me.  Even before I came to the Lord, I knew there was only One God, and I wasn’t it!  Goddess of hunting, that’s funny.  My dad tried to teach me to shoot a rifle one time when I was a kid, I aimed, shot, and landed smack dab on my butt!  Learned about recoil…

But, since we are speaking of names today…have you heard of Jesus?

Now there is a Name!
