Ms. D is Going Award Free

I appreciate all of the awards my fellow bloggers have blessed me with. And yes, there are a few I never got to, sorry Tami. I would like to continue to focus on God and what He has done. More of Him, and less of me… Thank you Jesus!

Spiritual Poetry

A big thank you to Cheryl Showers of Burning Fire Shut UP In My Bones for the MYSTICAL ALLURE AWARD

 Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord, you his servants;
praise the name of the Lord.
Let the name of the Lord be praised,
both now and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,
the One who sits enthroned on high,
 who stoops down to look
on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes,
with the princes of his people.
He settles the childless woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.
Praise the Lord.

(PSALM 113;1-9 NIV)

Here’s to the World Changers!

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”                ― Apple Inc

So here is to Perpetua from The Seeker
and Melanie from Mother of Nine
as they have given me these NO RULES, NO STRINGS ATTACHED Awards.  They are both World Changers, and I love them for that!
From Seeker:

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”
And from Melanie:

Awards are nice – they are the equivalent of Girl’s Night Out or a Night with the Guys where you compliment each other, share juicy tidbits about yourself and then inform the group of what amazing find you came across last week.

However, for a variety of reasons there are those who choose not to accept or pass on awards.  For those who like the idea of having an award or two on their site, but aren’t up to the work involved or feel like they’ll somehow betray those they follow by narrowing a list down to just 10 – here’s two awards you are welcome to put on your site if I’ve followed you, Liked one of your posts or left a comment that included the link to this page.

You are also free to bestow these no-strings attached Awards to others as you see fit – these images are free to use as long as you and others don’t pretend they are your own.  If you wish to link back here, Fantabulous – but not required.image

And to carry out the “NO RULES, NO STRINGS ATTACHED” theme,

I nominate YOU!

Yep, if you are reading this, then you receive these 3 awards.  Put them on your site, link back if you like – or not.  I appreciate you stopping by and listening to me ramble on about life and other fun things. Thank you for the love!   <3<3<3

“A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.”

God bless you on your journey!

Shine on, Beautiful Mama, Super Sweet, Best Moment, Reality Blog Awards!

Yep, gonna get caught up here, thank you Jesus.  This past month has been a little unsettling, but alas, I choose to focus on the positive and trust God for the rest.  Really, it’s the only way I can not be a basket case!  In the midst of my craziness my friends have blessed me with abundance.  Yep, my cup is running over.  You guys/gals never cease to amaze me. Thank you!

I am following 406 blogs. Is that normal?  No wonder I don’t get them all in my Reader.  Can you crash a WordPress Reader?  I know, lots of questions today.

(PS, if I nominate you and you don’t want to play – no worries, I know some people accept and some do not, I love you just the same!)

A big thank you to my fellow bloggers, and friends, for nominating me for the following awards. I love you all!

Being a mom, I am the finder of all lost things, the bandager of all wounds, and the light in the darkness!  I am so blessed with children, they truly are a gift. And I think sometimes, they teach me more than I teach them!

Ana Perry – of Jubilee Journey

for the Best Moment Award

Awarding the people who live in the moment,
The noble who write and capture the best in life,
The bold who reminded us what really mattered –
Savoring the experience of quality time.

Perpetua – of Theseeker

for the REALITY Blog Award

There are five questions that go along with this award.

1) If you could change one thing, what would you change? No more sorrow, no more tears, no more pain, no more abuse

2) If you could repeat an age, what age would it be? I don’t even want to go there, sorry.  I like to live my life going forward, not in reverse!

3) What is one thing that really scares you? I don’t like jumping spiders!

4) What is one dream you have not completed, and do you think you will be able to complete it?  I would love to travel with my husband. And yes, we will, after the kiddos are on their own!

5) If you could be someone else for the day, who would you be? I have a hard enough time being me sometimes, not gonna try to be someone else.  Besides, I buried my old masks!

thank you all, you have helped me build my faith, not give up, keep reaching, and keep growing!

2 For 1: Very Inspiring Blogger Award

I would like to thank Shaun of Praying for one Day

and Paul of Storytellerdavis

for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award.

Receiving an award from a fellow blogger is a gift.  I know some don’t like to pass them on (and I have more to do, thank you Jesus), but I consider it an honor.  Plus, we get to share with our readers other blogs that we read.  I guess I look at it like that ‘help your neighbor thing’.  So, thank you Shaun and Paul!

Image       Image

Shaun is a miracle in progress.  I started following him earlier this year, and I stand amazed at what God is doing in his life!  His blog is reaching so many people, and He has even started a new award here at WordPress – the WordPress Family Award. You are awesome Shaun!

And Paul and I just met about a month ago I believe.  I love Paul’s refreshing honesty when he writes. We all have stuff, everyone of us, and Paul is brave enough to share his struggles. This is inspiring to me, it opens the door to me sharing my struggles and shortcomings. That is courage, thank you Paul!

Here are the official rules of acceptance:

  • Display the Award Certificate on your website.
  • Announce your win with a post and link to whoever presented you with the award.
  • Present 15 awards to deserving bloggers.
  • Drop them a comment to tip them off after you have linked them in the post.
  • Post 7 interesting things about yourself.

1. I love listening to Indie Music.  SoundCloud is my favorite, there are so many talented and anointed musicians in the world!  It’s free, so get yourself an account today!

2.  My family and I will be moving soon, the house we are renting is being put back on the market.  Pray that God directs our steps to find our next home. Uggh, I hate moving.

3.  My oldest daughter is getting married in Sept., so I need to find an awesome ‘Mommy of the Bride” dress.

4.  I love to dig in the dirt and plant things.  Not sure what we are going to do about a garden yet with this move thing…

5.  I take a lot of cloud pictures, love to see the Majesty of God in nature.

6.  I am kind of a paper hound with music and lyrics.  I have a whole room upstairs with papers everywhere, projects yet to do, etc.

7.  The last program I downloaded for the iPad was “Swipe”.  It is really fun and lets you put words on pictures.  I love all the different fonts, maybe I should have gone into media…

I have to be honest, I didn’t know if I could accept this as I had received it from Carrie of Lead Our Lives.  Of course WordPress Support has no comment.  But, thanks to Google,  I found others who had received it twice. Very Inspiring Blogger Award – Thank you!

Thank you LEAD OUR LIVES for the Very Inspiring Blogging Award.

Lead our Lives, aka Carrie, is a life coach and her blog is amazing. My favorite post of hers so far is called COMPASSION. I love how Carrie writes, it’s almost like you are there in the room with her having a cup of coffee…

There are some rules for this award – which remind me that we are paying it forward in our acknowledgement of those who inspire us.

Here are the rules:

1. Display the award logo on your blog.

2. Link back to the person who nominated you.

3. State 7 things about yourself.

4. Nominate 15 bloggers for this award.

5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination by linking to one of their specific posts so that they get notified by ping back.

So…here are seven things about me.

1. I grew up on a 30 acre hobby farm in Harvard, IL with horses, cows, chickens, pigs, turkeys, cats, and dogs. I used to feed the baby calves a milk bottle before school. And turkeys are stupid; we had a few that held their heads up in a rainstorm and drown! Good memories here – I loved riding my horse with the wind in my hair!

2. I am the oldest of 3 children. I have a sister who lives in northern WI, and a brother that lives in Reno, NV. My sister is a practicing Shaman/Witch, so our family parties are always a blast – light meets dark – kaboom!

3. I am blessed to play music with my husband, Bob, every Sunday at Janesville Apostolic Ministries in Janesville, WI. Bob plays acoustic/electric guitar and I play keyboards/bass. We “rock out” a lot at our house – just ask the kids!

4. Last year at this time I was in a wheelchair and crutches as I had broken my left leg. I was helping my husband run wire at a large hotel. We have our own computer business, InnovativeTeks, and we were upgrading their wireless.  Well, the ladder I was on twisted. I fell, knocked myself out, and my leg got caught in the ladder – not pretty.  Anyway, they put in a metal rod in –  so now I am part bionic woman!

5. I have lived in many states, Wisconsin, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, and Nevada. I tried to run away from myself in the past. Funny thing though, wherever I went, there I was.

6. I used to work at the School District as an Aide/Substitute Teacher with Special Education. I think the kids taught me more than I taught them. I love how they are not afraid to show love. This also taught me to ‘think outside the box’!

7. Mondays are “fuzzy sock days” for me. I took a merchandising job on the weekends stocking bread at 3 different grocery stores. Good exercise for me and my leg, lots of bending and twisting. I am so sore by Monday, that I usually stay in my pajamas all day with my fuzzy socks! 🙂

And, here are 15 of the bloggers I follow daily. This was a hard choice because, like many of you, I follow a lot more than 15! Thank you all for your support, I appreciate you all!
