One Thing Remains
© 2013 D Rasmussen
In crisis I find out what I think.
I can look death in the eye and wink.
Knowing I have been through Hell on Earth.
I refuse to give in or give up.
Choose to believe this isn’t the end,
Just the start of a new beginning.
Faith is born in the fire of distress.
Hope rises in the storm of despair.
Though the world around me may have changed,
One thing they can’t ever take away;
God’s abundant love for me remains.

Amen, Diana! There is fire and power in this poem… I believe it’s one of my favorites so far. I can’t wait to see what else the Lord leads you to write.
Thank you Cheryl, God is good!
The last stanza speaks volume, God remains.
Thanks Perpetua, wrote this one on the fly for a friend going thru some junk.
