One Thing Remains

In crisis I find out what I think.
I can look death in the eye and wink.

Knowing I have been through Hell on Earth.
I refuse to give in or give up.
*
Choose to believe this isn’t the end,
Just the start of a new beginning.
*
Faith is born in the fire of distress.
Hope rises in the storm of despair.
*
Though the world around me may have changed,
One thing they can’t ever take away;
God’s abundant love for me remains.
