it was going to be my special day
if only he hadn’t strayed

If I wish upon a star
can I have back my dreams?
If I wish upon a star
will it quiet these silent screams?

  1. Your response above was the life of my first marriage! What I thought was my soulmate was sleeping with anything and everything because in his words “that’s what everyone does.” It was one tough road to travel as you know. Two small children and a wife who worshipped the ground he walked on – but it wasn’t enough for him! I walked out with my children and ever looked back. God healed me as he will you! Lots of love and support.

    1. We are sisters Dawn! My kids were 6 and 3 when we left, so yes, I totally understand. It was rough, but worth it. God provided for us in so many supernatural ways. I didn’t date anyone for a year after that! That was a first for Ms D! All for the best though, I learned to trust God as my husband, and walk by faith. Thank you for sharing your story with us, you are a living testimony of what God can do with a life!
      Love you sis,
      Diana

    1. Thank you Rebecca, so many of us have been cheated on. Forgiveness is possible with God, to be free from the pain, not as an acceptance of his unfaithfulness. Unfortunately, sometimes they choose to keep sleeping around. Then, we as women, get to decide what to do next. I had a really hard time with this and Church. Some people were so against divorce, not realizing that ‘the two shall become one’ and when he went out and cheated, he was kind of putting me in bed with ‘her’. That was not acceptable to me. I filed for divorce, after multiple affairs. One of my pastors called him a “deserter”, and in the military – they got shot! I didn’t do that, but it helped me get the big picture. I trust God to deal with him and his ways, not my day to watch him! Thanks so much for stopping by, I pray that God continues to heal us both, in Jesus Name.

  2. Isaiah 54:5
    Amplified Bible (AMP)
5 For your Maker is your Husband—the Lord of hosts is His name—and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth He is called.

Thank you Lord, the You are our husband, heal all the places in our heart that have been injured from being forsaken or betrayed. God is faithful, He will leave nor forsake you.
