Radical Faith in High Heels

There comes a time in every believer’s life that we must choose – to believe or not believe what God says. There comes a time where we will challenge the Word and the Holy Spirit. I had a moment this morning. In the natural my ankle is killing me. I overdid it unloading a trailer and making room in the garage for our temperamental van. I am part Bionic Woman now with a Titanium leg bone. I wrote about what happened here – THE WORD HEALS

But in the Spirit – I see myself dancing. And teaching kids to praise dance. That would be fun. Yeah, makes no logical sense. I have been to PT – 3 times now. In the natural I have a hard time standing for more than 30 minutes at a time. I haven’t had a job in almost 3 years. Yet, I want to dance.

When my husband asked me how I was doing today I did not answer with my mind or my body. I was sort of sarcastic and said, ” I am stupendous. I’ll be dancing ballet today.” He laughed. That just egged me on more! Later he asked if I was dancing Swan Lake. I answered, “No I’m not feeling that today.” He said, “Oh more of The Nutcracker?.” “YES! that’s what I’ll be dancing later today!” I answered.

Then when he left for work. My sassy self told him, “Hey if I’m not home when you get back I’ll be out running my marathon.” “OK baby” he said. Funny, right? But that got me thinking. What if we talked like that all the time? What if we gave the Holy Spirit room to MOVE?high heels

I’m tired of my stupid leg stopping me from doing what I want to do. I don’t know ballet, but I would learn a move or two. I haven’t run in almost 3 years now. But the Word says, “By His stripes I am healed.” So ok Holy Spirit – I am stepping out in faith. And talking about all the things I will do once you heal me Lord.

I will run, I will dance, I will ride a bike, and I will wear a pair of high heels again!

I am reading Steve Sampsons book again.

THOSE WHO EXPECT NOTHING ARE NEVER DISAPPOINTED, Let My Spirit Move

“In order to see God do more, we must live with a continual demand on His presence.” ~Steve Sampson

“There must not only be a posture of expectation, but a willingness on our part to submit our analytical minds to the flow of the Holy Spirit. It is the mind of man (not the devil) that aborts the work of the Spirit in our lives. When God speaks, He calls forth results that have nothing to do with our natural circumstances.” ~Steve Sampson

God’s Word for You:

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. ~Hebrews 11:1 AMP

Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing]. ~Isaiah 55:1 AMP

My Prayer for You:

Dear Lord,

We believe you – all of it, every Word.  We expect you Lord to do what you say you will. We trust you to do it. Just because you love us. Thank you in advance Lord! Let it be so, in Jesus Name.

Points to Ponder:

  • What if our EXPECTATION was the currency that God uses? It’s not money – Isaiah said we could come and buy without money.
  • What if we believed what the Spirit said even if we didn’t see it in the natural yet?
  • What if we believed before we saw it, and just said it anyway?
  • What words do you need to change?
  • What have we got to loose? Get sassy today – speak it, and watch and see what God will do!

Surprise Me Daddy

Have you ever gotten a surprise? Totally unexpected and out of the blue knock your sock off kind of surprise? I have had this happen to me in the natural, with my natural dad and father-in-law and also in the Spiritual realm with my Heavenly Father. Just as our natural fathers love us and want to provide good things for us, so does our Heavenly Father.

The other day I was asking God for wisdom in the job arena. You see my husbands IT business has flourished and he is now able to hire other contractors to help him. Praise God! But as for me, I have not been back to the 9-5 workplace since I broke my leg 2 1/2 years ago. I tried a part-time job at the grocery store for about 8 months, but unfortunately that only sent me back to Physical Therapy.

So, I have entered this season of choosing to trust God and His Promises despite what I see. And I am learning to trust my husband. That’s a hard one for a girl who has been abused. I have been a Lone Ranger for so many years and have had to start over with my kids, work 3 jobs to make it, no child support, etc. for years. I hated men for a long time. And I have to confess, I blamed God for it and didn’t like Him either for a while.

But then, just when you ‘think’ you have it all figured out, Daddy God surprises you! Yep, every time. He is faithful, even though others may not have been. He is true, even though other may have lied. He provides, even when things don’t go as planned and you get deserted. And His love is real, even though we may have been deceived at one time.

God surprised me with a rainbow the other day. Remember the story of Noah and how afterwards God put the bow in the sky as a token and covenant that He would not destroy the Earth with floods again? I was driving home from dropping off my daughter at a friend’s house and looked up in the sky.

God spoke to my heart,

“My covenant and promise with you is greater than any destruction you have been through.”

And then I saw the rainbow start in the sky and come down to the ground!  Really, it was so totally cool!  I pulled over to take pictures. I knew that one was for me. What a surprise, thank you Daddy God. Yes, I believe your promises.  And You are greater and You remember us!

Then God spoke to Noah and his sons: “I’m setting up my covenant with you including your children who will come after you, along with everything alive around you—birds, farm animals, wild animals—that came out of the ship with you. I’m setting up my covenant with you that never again will everything living be destroyed by floodwaters; no, never again will a flood destroy the Earth.”

God continued, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and everything living around you and everyone living after you. I’m putting my rainbow in the clouds, a sign of the covenant between me and the Earth. From now on, when I form a cloud over the Earth and the rainbow appears in the cloud, I’ll remember my covenant between me and you and everything living, that never again will floodwaters destroy all life. When the rainbow appears in the cloud, I’ll see it and remember the eternal covenant between God and everything living, every last living creature on Earth.”

And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I’ve set up between me and everything living on the Earth.” (Genesis 9: 8-17 MSG)

You Are Treasured

Sometimes I can’t look in the mirror – it just isn’t me. That is not what I look like.  When God gives you His Spirit you see things differently. You are not what you see in the mirror. The body we have is only a tent. God is a Spirit, and you start to see in the Spirit.  When you see yourself in the spirt – you are young. There are no glasses, no fat rolls, no limps, no wrinkles,  and no age.!  As as it is in Heaven, let it be on Earth. No sickness, no glasses, no age – we are all young! Hallelujah!

Only Just Begun

Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name.
And they shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.(Malachi 3:16-17 AMP)

For you are a holy people [set apart] to the Lord your God; and the Lord has chosen you to be a peculiar people to Himself, above all the nations on the earth. (Deuteronomy 14:2 AMP)

And the Lord has declared this day that you are His peculiar people as He promised you, and you are to keep all His commandments; ( Deuteronomy 26:18 AMP)

Praise the Lord! For the Lord is good; sing praises to His name, for He is gracious and lovely!
For the Lord has chosen [the descendants of] Jacob for Himself, Israel for His peculiar possession and treasure. For I know that the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods. (Psalm 135;3-5 AMP)

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)
