Perspective

Perspective

Perspective: a way of regarding situations, facts, etc, and judging their relative importance.

Have you ever got bad news?

How did you handle it?

I have to admit, not the best day for Ms. Diana.  I don’t want to go into to many details, but lets just say for the moment I’m unsettled.  Things are changing – again. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, and life was calm and comfy.  I know I’m supposed to be so excited for new opportunities, new adventures, new things.  But today, I just don’t get it. I want to park my butt on my favorite chair and zone out.  I want to be a couch potato today.  Hey, where is the switch to turn my brain off? Has anyone found it yet?

The word that I kept hearing today was PERSPECTIVE.  I know, trust God, move forward, one step at a time. God will lead you through it.  Ugggh, I hate when I have to eat my own words!

GOD’S PROMISE TO YOU:

He Is Your Life

So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from is perspective. (Colossians 3:1-2 MSG)

This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go. (Isaiah 48:17 NIV)

Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them.  Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:20-22 NIV)

MY PRAYER FOR YOU (and me):

Dear Lord,

Help us with change today.  Help us see the big picture in things, not just the details that drive us crazy.  We know You are with us, You promised to never leave us or forsake us.  But can You send that cloud and fire thing to lead us to the next place?  And maybe part the Red Sea in front of us like You did with Moses? We are kinda stuck here. Help us change our perspective today Lord as we lean on You and Your Word, in Jesus Name.

  1. The feeling of being unsettled is such a difficult one. It’s something I’ve been feeling for the past couple of weeks. It’s hard to work through. I just try to focus on the positive aspects of the change that is occurring. Trying to live in the moment because this feeling won’t last forever.

  2. Thank you for helping us all to pray through our unsettling times! God bless you and lead you on . ..after a little zone out time!

  3. Sometimes, it’s good just to zone out. Nothing wrong with that and pray not to take things too seriously. Blessings to you.

  4. I am so with you sister 🙂 I need to go out to the woodshed and have my attitude adjusted…except I don’t want to because that would be uncomfortable and I don’t want to be uncomfortable. My “flesh” is showing 😉 Maybe if we go to bed and pray He will adjust it while we’re sleeping 🙂 Will pray for you Princess.
