New Song Collaboration

Walking Wounded

Music by Diana Rasmussen

Verbal abuse, he thinks its ok;
So destructive, done everyday.
He tears me down, to a point so low.
Fear sets in, I’ve no place to go.

So much hurt. So much pain.
“Walking Wounded”, that’s my name.
Hidden deep, where no one sees,
Scars of abuse, but who’d believe?

Behind closed doors, the truth’s exposed.
His attacks, where no one knows.
The wounds are real, but he’d deny.
And I’m too scared, to testify.

So much hurt. So much pain.
“Walking Wounded”, that’s my name.
Hidden deep, where no one sees,
Scars of abuse, but who’d believe?

His words are swords, they cut so deep.
But God sees all, and He can heal.

So much hurt. So much pain.
“Walking Wounded”, that’s my name.
Hidden deep, where no one sees,
Scars of abuse, but who’d believe?

Walking wounded, walking wounded, walking wounded.

Here is a Song Collaboration between Diana Rasmussen and Secret Angel of Secret Angel Ministries. Sometimes we need to join together to spread the word. Secret Angel has her book coming out this month, and I took one of her poems and made it a song.

This song will be released soon at CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon, with part of the proceeds to benefit Secret Angel Ministries.

WALKING WOUNDED HAS ALREADY BEEN AWARDED FOR TOP 10 -COUNTRY-ALTERNATIVE AND TOP 10- WISCONSIN AT BROADJAM, INC.

  1. Touching song and music, the pain of abuse reflects in each sentence. I relate, though I was a victim of child abuse.

  2. VERY IMPRESSIVE,MS. D.!! Maybe you and Secret Angel should consider this submission, to Nikki, too.I think you did a fantastic job on the vocals, as well. t

  3. Reblogged this on The Abuse Expose' with Secret Angel and commented:
Walking Wounded is a song that the Lord sang to me one day, I wrote down His words and then He brought Diana into my life to create the music to go with the lyrics. This song is for all victims of abuse as sang by God Himself to me. I pray that it blesses many and I thank Diana for answering God’s call to reach out to victims of abuse as well that we both may be His vessels to lead others out of darkness… God bless each and every one of you!!
