What do you do when you feel this way?

“In The Arms Of The Angel” was written by Sarah Mc Lachlan.

Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There’s always some reason
To feel not good enough
And it’s hard at the end of the day

I need some distraction
Or a beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
Let me be empty
Oh and weightless and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear

You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting
Keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack

It don’t make no difference
Escaping one last time
It’s easier to believe
In this sweet madness
Oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear

You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

  1. I say it will pass and it does. And you are not alone. And as for God, nail the melancholy mood with Jesus. Blessings.

  2. Praying for Him to just carry you through this day and time. You are His beloved and precious.

    1. Thank you Debbie, what a beautiful picture…letting Him carry me. Yes, that is what I need. God bless you too, Diana

  3. I have days like that, Diana. I cannot “do” on those days. I must just “be” and allow the feeling to wash over me until comfort or joy or contentment emerges. And it does, sweet one, it does.

    1. What a beautiful way to put it Susan, yes I just have to “be” today. Thank you so much Susan. You are such an encouragement to me. 😉
