There is a lioness arising
As she turns around from fear
Hears the crying of her children
Protecting them from harm

The glory of The Lord
Has risen upon her now
She’s taking back the land
from the enemy’s hand

“Women, it’s time to awaken.
AWAKEN…
God did not save you to tame you.
AWAKEN…
to a life of fierce passion.
AWAKEN…
to dangerous prayer, stunning power, and teamed purpose.
AWAKEN…
your response could very well change your world.”

(From the back of Lisa’s book, LIONESS ARISING)

These people rise up like a lioness;
like a majestic lion they stand.
—Numbers 23:24

The lioness rises from her slumber, a magnificent image of strength, passion, and beauty. Her mere presence commands the landscape, protects her young, and empowers the lion. In groups, lionesses become a creative and strategic force to be reckoned with, acting as one to change the world around them.

You too are a lioness.

Packed with remarkable insights from nature and a rich depth of biblical references to lionesses, Lioness Arising is a call for women to rise up in strength and numbers to change their world.

Jesus is, after all, the lion of the Tribe of Judah. And we are his lioness arising.

  1. Hey! I just realized that you changed your Gravatar! No wonder I wasn’t seeing your posts anymore. In fact, I was preparing to send a message to see if you were okay!

      • I’m at 295…and going down. Augh! I’m determined to wade through them today.

I did the same yesterday (had over 600!).

The neat thing was that we had two people stop by, independent of and unrelated to the other. Both had things on their mind that they needed to talk about.

I drew from countless posts as I sought to counsel them. Probably half of what I told each one was something I’d read just that day!

Perhaps I’m not “behind” as I suppose, but right on the Lord’s time schedule! 😉

  2. One of the local churches had this Bible study. Due to other commitments, I was unable to attend. Now that you’ve shared the back of the book, I’m doubly sad! I think I’d better get the study. Thanks!

    • I can’t go to all those either – I think that’s why I love Kindle! Kids and school and sports and life! We do the best we can with what we got!
