Let’s Dance!

Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.”   (2 Samuel 6:14 NKJV)

My friend Seeker and I were talking last night, and  I think we all need to dance once in a while.  Even David danced before the Lord! Kinda goes with today’s daily post.

So, for the Daily Post today; what role does music play in your life?

Music is like breathing

It brings me to a new place

where it is safe.

The rhythms echo my heartbeat,

and remind me I’m still alive.

In safety I can dance with my Lord,

no judgement or condemnation,

Just His unconditional love out-pored.

Finally, a place to rest and just be…

Recently, I looked up a Bible Search on “Praise the Lord”  verses. Yep, I do that.  God will give me a word, and I search it out.  This search was at a time when I was  feeling down and depressed.  Lets just say I didn’t feel like praising anything.  You know, the dark times…

So, my first response was to ignore it, that didn’t work.  He kept knocking at the door.  Next I tried a diversion…still knocking at my heart’s door. Finally, I gave in.  Went to http://www.Biblegateway.com and did a search on “praise the Lord”; 185 results, wow. (I couldn’t list them all here, there were over 4400 words!)  That’s a lot of praising going on!  So, I tried something new; I read them out loud, and discovered something…

I have found that when I read the Word  OUT LOUD things change…It’s almost like the black cloud of depression leaves the room when you speak the Word…Try it for yourself..
