Don’t Forget to Dance Along the Way

We are currently having our first snowstorm in Wisconsin. We are expecting 6-10″. Finally the kiddos can go make snow angels and sled down their hills. Snow was so much fun when I was younger. I didn’t mind the cold, the wind, or even all the clothes and boots you had to put on before going outside. It was worth it!

As I stand here doing the dishes these snowflakes keep getting bigger and bigger. They seem to dance around the air as they fall to the snow covered ground. The freedom, the fun of it all, it makes my heart happy.

That’s when Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. “Don’t forget to dance along the way and enjoy the journey.” Ouch. In other words, stop complaining! The first thing to remember is all the GOOD thins, not the BAD. I had forgotten to rejoice and dance. (See my post on When a Little Child Dances)

How easy I had fallen into complaining about my health and the weather and life in general. Forgive me Lord. I had been magnifying all the sickness and illness I had and in those around me too. I had forgotten that Jehovah Rapha (the Lord HEALS) was with me and each of my friends/family. I had to make a choice – did I want to sit there and tell Jesus everything that was wrong with me or did I want to sit at His feet and let Him do what He does – HEAL. Thank you Lord.

I heard this awesome song this past few weeks, called Rapha by Stephen McWhirter. Made me cry, it’s beautiful.

Today I choose to sit at your feet Lord, and dance along the way in this fun filled journey called life. All good things come from above – even snowflakes!

God’s Word

  • “Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
    Save me and I will be saved,
    For You are my praise.” – Jeremiah 17:14 AMP
  •  Behold, [in the restored Jerusalem] I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace (prosperity, security, stability) and truth.” – Jeremiah 33:6 AMP
  • “‘For I will restore health to you
    And I will heal your wounds,’ says the Lord,
    ‘Because they have called you an outcast, saying:
    “This is Zion; no one seeks her and no one cares for her.”’ – Jeremiah 30:17 AMP
  • “Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
    And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name.
     Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
    And do not forget any of His benefits;
    Who forgives all your sins,
    Who heals all your diseases;
    Who redeems your life from the pit,
    Who crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy;
    Who satisfies your years with good things,
    So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.” – Psalm 103:1-5 AMP

  1. Thank you for sharing that song. I’ve never heard it before but WOW. I’ve sent it to a few people who I think it will touch. It’s a good reminder for me, too in battling my own health issues. Thank you again.
    Blessings to you.
