Stand Through the Trials

I would like to share with you my testimony of the strength of Love. My husband and I have both been married before. Nobody said it would be easy. In fact the odds were against us. We both have kids from previous marriages. And the ‘fun’ with the ex’s – yeah right. Yet in spite of everything God was and still is faithful. He has given us strength to overcome all the trials that were thrown our way these past 8 years. There would have been many times where it would have just been easier to walk away. We have lived through both of our moms passing away – in the same year. We have had 3 cars get smashed or just plain ‘die’. Both of our dads have made it through major surgeries this past year – thank you Jesus! I lost track of how many times we have moved. Then there was the leg break and losing work for the last 3 years. But God is faithful. He held us up when we couldn’t hold on any longer. God provided for all of our needs. Our families helped and we stuck together despite it all. And God never left. He was right there beside us through all of it. Our family is stronger these days, and so is our love.

Perhaps this is your season of testing. Stand strong my friends. God is with you and sticks closer than a brother. He will provide a way when there seems to be no way. He will sing songs of deliverance over you. God will shine light into your darkness and lead you out of the valley of despair. Your story is NOT over yet!

Come on in. Welcome to my family and our home. Come on into our lives and watch and see what God can do! These pics are from our lives in the past 8 years, along with a few from Pinterest. Life is good, and God is great!

When the money’s gone and the bills come in
When the sky turns black and it’s thundering
When it seems the only answer is to walk away
We’re gonna forgive them anyway

We’re gonna get through this
Hope is born in the middle of the storm
We’re gonna get through this
Dig down deep and take my hand
Only together, we stand

When the work is long and the pay is slow
When our hair turns gray cause we’re getting old
When the kids move out to find their way
We’re gonna love our life anyway

God is our light in these waves
Hope is our Anchor, we’ll stay

I Take You; a Royal Wedding

Come with me on a little journey. We are going to a wedding. Let’s have a seat. See the Groom up there waiting for his Bride. He looks so excited! You can see the longing and anticipation he has. Out of all the women in the world he chose this one to be his Bride. She is special, she is chosen, she is loved. He is not looking at her faults. He is not keeping a list and checking it twice. He loves her despite anything she may have done, have done, or will ever do. He just wants to spend the rest of his life with her. No matter what he wants to be part of her life and love her forever.

The music starts, we all stand and look at her beauty. Here she comes. The lace, the flowers, the music, the white dress, what a beautiful couple. This is the start of their new life together. They look so good together! Then the Minister/Priest/Judge says, “repeat after me”.

Groom: I (name), take you (name) for my lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.

Bride: I (name), take you (name) for my lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.

Beautiful ,just beautiful. aren’t weddings great? Kind of renews you hope and joy all over again. If you were ever married you remember what it was like at your wedding. If you are not married you think about what you will do at your wedding. Unless you were called to be single, then that’s good too.

Have a seat. Ok, now what if you read the vows above with Jesus being the Groom? And You are His Bride. Only there is no ‘death do us part’ because He conquered Death. His death brings us eternal life!

JESUS: I, Jesus, take you ________for my lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, and I will give you eternal life. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will help you, comfort you, save you, redeem you, and give you the gift of my precious Holy Spirit. I will abide with you, and you will abide with me forever because my love for you never ends. There is nothing that can separate you from my love. I am your Prince, and you are my Princess, and we own the Kingdom!

Preparation for the big day

Preparation for the Big Day!

Dear Lord,

I ask you to bless Jenny and Dameon’s marriage.  Let the two become one like You said.  Bless their coming and their going, bless the work of their hands, let them be fruitful and multiply.  Let them posses the land and have dominion.  Clothe them with Your grace, mercy, righteousness, and love.  Let them love each other more every day.  Lord, let them enjoy a double portion of your goodness in the land of the living.  And  let them come to know You, as You really are, in Jesus Name.

Love and Harmony

Love and harmony combine,
And round our souls entwine
While thy branches mix with mine,
And our roots together join.

Joys upon our branches sit,
Chirping loud and singing sweet;
Like gentle streams beneath our feet
Innocence and virtue meet.

Thou the golden fruit dost bear,
I am clad in flowers fair;
Thy sweet boughs perfume the air,
And the turtle buildeth there.

There she sits and feeds her young,
Sweet I hear her mournful song;
And thy lovely leaves among,
There is love, I hear his tongue.

There his charming nest doth lay,
There he sleeps the night away;
There he sports along the day,
And doth among our branches play.

By William Blake

“For you are a holy people [set apart] to the Lord your God; and the Lord has chosen you to be a peculiar people to Himself, above all the nations on the earth.” (Deuteronomy 14:2)
The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate,and drink the water of Life without cost. (Revelation 22:17 AMP)

God will be the daddy your daddy was not. “I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters.” (II Cor. 6:18)

You are chosen, you are special, you are treasured, you are the Bride of Christ!
