Sometimes I have to exercise my faith muscle. As I sit here with back problems and sleep problems my oh just aches. It had been forever since this body of mine felt whole. And, I admit it, I am not the best patient. Just ask my husband Bob. He is stuck in this movie called life and gets to see behind the scenes. And he has his own battle with pain too.
I remember the day he called me from the hospital. He said, “hey I am at hospital XYZ and I fell.” After I got there he told me the rest of the story. He was installing a camera in the ceiling at a local sub shop and he fell off the 8’ ladder. But there was one thing he hit on the way down…a stainless steel counter. He cracked 7 ribs from that dang counter. Now he gets to use his faith muscle too.
Why do I bring this up? Because we ALL have pain or injury. HSome days are good, and other days are just painful. Here is the point where we can make a choice – crawl in a corner and hide, or stand up and fight with our faith.
God’s Word for You:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. – Hebrews 11:1
And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:22
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.- 1 Corinthians 16:13 fait
“We call Abraham “father” not because he got God’s attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody. Isn’t that what we’ve always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, “I set you up as father of many peoples”? Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do. And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples. God himself said to him, “You’re going to have a big family, Abraham!”
Abraham didn’t focus on his own impotence and say, “It’s hopeless. This hundred-year-old body could never father a child.” Nor did he survey Sarah’s decades of infertility and give up. He didn’t tiptoe around God’s promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, sure that God would make good on what he had said. That’s why it is said, “Abraham was declared fit before God by trusting God to set him right.” But it’s not just Abraham; it’s also us! The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless. The sacrificed Jesus made us fit for God, set us right with God.” – Romans 4:17-25 MSG
So this is the place where I wrote this song “I Declare I Am Healed”. Ignoring my pain for the moment and stepping out to exercise my faith, calling myself healed and whole, declaring the Word of God over my body. Come and join me for a few minutes…

[verse]
I give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for us.
He sends forth His word and He heals us; He rescues us from the grave.
[chorus]
Your ways are higher than my ways, Your thoughts are higher than mine
Your Word will not return to You empty, But it accomplishes your desire
You send forth Your Word and You heal me, You remove all sickness and infirmity
I walk by faith not by sight, and I declare I am healed!
[verse]
I sing praises to You Lord, for You have lifted me up
and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
O Lord my God, I cry to You and You heal me
You rescue me from the pit and destruction.
[chorus]
Your ways are higher than my ways, Your thoughts are higher than mine
Your Word will not return to You empty, But it accomplishes your desire
You send forth Your Word and You heal me, You remove all sickness and infirmity
I walk by faith not by sight, and I declare I am healed!

I pay attention to your Word and I’m willing to learn;
I open my ears to Your sayings.
I don’t let them escape from my sight;
I Keep them in the center of my heart.
For they are life to those who find them,
And healing and health to my body.
[chorus]
Your ways are higher than my ways, Your thoughts are higher than mine
Your Word will not return to You empty, But it accomplishes your desire
You send forth Your Word and You heal me, You remove all sickness and infirmity
I walk by faith not by sight, and I declare I am healed!
[chorus]
Your ways are higher than my ways, Your thoughts are higher than mine
Your Word will not return to You empty, But it accomplishes your desire
You send forth Your Word and You heal me, You remove all sickness and infirmity
I walk by faith not by sight, and I declare I am healed!
