The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.(Psalm 119:130 NKJV)

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105 NKJV)

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world.

He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

(John 8:12 NKJV)

My husband took this picture this morning and sent it to me.  He knows that I love things like this!  And in these times I am reminded to look for the Light.  The darkness that I had experienced in my life can only be overcome by one thing – Light.  I can wish it away, pretend it’s not there, talk about it, write about it, sing about it, etc.  But the only thing that will get rid of the dark places of my heart and broken soul is Light – Jesus.  Yes, I have been camping in the dark lately, bringing forth songs and treasures of the darkness – songs that God has sung over me and my friends – to be shared in the light of His presence.  Places that need healing, thoughts that need to be brought into captivity, attitudes of the heart that need to be broken – all things are changed in the light.  Turn around my friends, there is a new day dawning, and God’s mercies are new each morning.  Yes, we have made it through the night, now rest and delight in the Light of His Presence!

light

 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.

He was present originally with God.

All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.

And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it]. (John 1:1-5 AMP)
