He Hears Your Tears

God knows. And He hears your tears as prayers. We started this Bible study at Church about Depression. I know it’s a good thing. But can I say I am coming unglued? After our second session I went up to the Guest that came to teach us and just hugged her. I said thank you. It was like a wall came down in me. I had to go downstairs in the bathroom to cry. All these emotions just flooding over me. Idk why. Guess it was time for them to come out. As tears. So much healing yet to be done.

Help us all Lord, open our hearts and our minds as Deep calls out to Deep and we let the Holy Spirit in the secret places in our hearts. The rooms that words don’t touch. The rooms of hurt, and darkness. Shine your light Lord, and bring Healing in Jesus Name.

Psalm 116:1-14
I love the Lord because he hears my voice and  my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! Death wrapped its ropes around me;the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord:“Please, Lord, save me!” How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me. He has saved me from death,my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth! I believed in you, so I said,“I am deeply troubled, Lord.” In my anxiety I cried out to you,“These people are all liars!” What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me. I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people.

“Raindrops fall from the sky because the clouds can no longer hold them”

There are tears
my heart can’t hold
falling down soaking the ground

Water from my soul
releasing pain
It’s my cry to begin again

From a secret place
I see your face
Your raindrops are tears
Sent from above
pouring out love
Your raindrops are tears

drench my hurt
heal my pain
You can call me by a new name

soak the trees
heal all things
that are precious to a King

From a secret place
I see your face
Your raindrops are tears
Sent from above
pouring out love
Your raindrops are tears

You wept when I wept
You cried when I cried

From a secret place
I see your face
Your raindrops are tears
Sent from above
pouring out love
Your raindrops are tears

Preceded by Chaos

The Body of Christ is so weary, including me.  Yes, it’s Monday. And I fall down at the feet of my Savior and cry out, “How long Lord, how long?” We desperately need a new breath of God. Everything we thought we knew has come to naught. The new wind of the Spirit will revive us. So we sit and search and wait. Just like those folks did in the Upper Room. I’m sure those Disciple guys felt like their world was falling apart into complete chaos. But the best was yet to come!

Let’s pray and sing psalms together and wait for what God promised.

What promise are you waiting on?

Here are 3 Promises I am holding onto these days:

  1. I am waiting on the promise that, “Not by might, not by strength, but by My Spirit.” We are so blessed to have a congregation of worshippers. Praise and worship brings in the presence of God like a breath of fresh air. God knows what we need, and when we need it to. He promised to provide – not only in the physical world, but in the spiritual realm as well. He knows his kiddos are tired and He has the oil of joy that will break the yokes of bondage. The anointing of GOD is in the oil – the Holy Spirit. Thank you Holy Spirit –  lead us, comfort us, guide us into all truth, in Jesus Name.
  2. And I am waiting on “Everything your hand touches will prosper.” I have seen it happen in my children’s lives. They are so blessed beyond belief the don’t even know it.  I am grateful that God has shown them all tremendous favor.  And I am grateful for the new season He is bringing me and my husband into. I don’t want to camp in the valley. I don’t even really like camping. And I know what the valley looks like. I’m ready for a new view. How about you?
  3. And, “I will restore the years the locust have eaten. ”  I have to believe that God can make some use out of my messed up life. I didn’t think all that junk would happen. Maybe you didn’t either. Sometimes the best intentions end up going haywire. Sometimes covenants are not kept due to no fault of your own. Sometimes junk just happens. We live in a fallen world.

“Life is a hell of a thing to happen to a person.”

~Rossi on Criminal Minds

But I survived, and so did you.  In fact, God can make good come out of whatever the enemy used to try to destroy you. Look at Joseph. Look at Job. Don’t give up yet – your story isn’t over yet my friends. And neither is mine. Let’s see where God takes us. I hear He is a really good driver. He knows the way. And I  don’t even think He needs Google Maps!
