I went to visit 3 of my grandchildren last weekend. I brought their favorite treat – sprinkle donuts! My daughter put down the donuts on the table while I went back to the Jeep to get birthday presents. By the time I got back, the youngest granddaughter F, age 1, had climbed up on the table, opened up the box of donuts, and picked her favorite sprinkle one! She was laughing for joy over a donut! That warmed my heart, her joy was so full, all for a donut.
I want to be like that, joyful for all things, and finding delight in the smallest of things. Today I choose joy! God does sing over us and delights in us! Thank you Lord for reminding me to be thankful, even sprinkle donuts!
