Don’t Make Me Cross That Line

Sometimes a girl just has to say NO.  Enough.  Nada.  My friend Penny from Vermont wrote this song and it is exactly how I feel today.  Sooooo much going on for Ms D.  My daughters wedding is in 1 week, I have a big Festival to play at on Sat, and sometimes life just has a way of hitting you back.  Not looking forward to seeing EX#1. I just don’t want any issues.  Last time I saw him was at one of my daughter’s High School Graduation.  Always the glare/scowl and still cuts me down every chance he gets. I even had to block his e-mail because he was still sending me garbage.  Seriously – he is still trying to fight even though it has been over 20 years since the divorce.  This is the guy who, just for spite, took all the things I had given my girls and burnt them in the fire pit – while they watched. The one who would ‘sit me down’ at the kitchen table and lecture me for 2 hours about how I was not a good wife or mother.  And the guy who after he broke up with his girlfriend – peed on her stuff.  And the guy that took a table and chopped it up with an AXE – in the house.  Ugggh. I just don’t even want to see him. Have you ever seen someone with BLACK EYES?  I know that they were blue – but God gives you the vision to see the evil?

And now he has viewed my LinkedIn profile – really????  He is probably even reading this…whatever.  I’m gonna keep writing and singing anyway.

But how do you protect yourself online?

Please pray for Ms D for protection  – thanks!  So, Penny’s song is my Mantra today – DON’T MAKE ME CROSS THAT LINE!

Now I’ve given you fair warning
I’ve given you the news I’ve made my resolution
now you have got to choose
You’re driving me crazy
Better change your careless ways
Use your imagination
This is the last time I’m gonna tell you
Don’t make me cross that line

Penny has made this a free download just for you today – Thanks Penny!  Be sure to click on the title or her picture for your free song!

Don’t Make Me Cross That Line

© 2012, Michael Palumbo and Penny Towers Wilber

It was 3 am in the morning
and you weren’t there
vacations over
now this ain’t fair
You’re driving me crazy
better change your careless ways
Use your imagination
(You know what I’m talking about)
Don’t make me cross that line.

Thelma and Louise
got nothing over me
Because what I’ve been thinking
You don’t want to see
You’re driving me crazy
Better stop while there’s time
Use your imagination
(Think about it baby)
Don’t make me cross that line

Remember when you told me
Remember when you showed me
those good times
Never had to worry
Never had to hurry
things were fine
What’s the situation?
Use your imagination
(You must be getting the picture by now)
Don’t make me cross that line

Now I’ve given you fair warning
I’ve given you the news
I’ve made my resolution
now you have got to choose
You’re driving me crazy
Better change your careless ways
Use your imagination
This is the last time I’m gonna tell you
Don’t make me cross that line

  1. Diana… My dear sister! I totally understand how you feel and dread any contact with my ex. We both have to stand on God’s Word that He loves us and protects us and walk with our Armor of God on daily to protect us from the fiery darts of the enemy. I pray that an army of angels will surround you and keep him and even his looks from coming your way…even if it means him missing the entire event. We serve a Big God and there is nothing that He can’t do. No assignment of the enemy will prosper against you or your family,on this special day or any day for you are the righteousness of God in Christ. He who is in you is bigger than he who is in this world so we call on God for the miraculous for you. I ask Him to give you Peace about this and rest in knowing that He will take care of you… Love you and will continue to be praying for you…

    • Thank you so much Angel. I can’t believe the fear and anxiety that I feel today. I have been telling myself all day, “God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind!” Uggghhhh, I hate this anxiety. Thank you so much for your prayers…you help me to remember that God is greater. Especially on a day I want to run and hide…

      • I really totally understand. I have faced that with graduations and have actually wondered how I would make it through weddings when that time comes. With the abuse that we have both suffered, it is understandable that we would have apprehension. Again, like all storms or obstacles, we need to keep our eyes on the Lord, not on man… and especially not on our ex husbands….
I will keep praying for you.. Love you bunches my sister!

  2. I’ve got your back, sis. Just don’t know what could possibly push someone to obsess like that.
I’ve been stalked before, and I know the feeling. Not to your extent, though.
Hopefully he’ll have a date with him. A lady I know was beaten and abused by her first husband. He left her for another (best thing that ever happened to her). After he tore through that one, he married his match. This person waited for him to fall asleep then she beat him with a baseball bat. I hear he has turned over a new leaf.

I guess there is hope for everyone. I’m gonna pray that Jesus starts tugging on his heart today. Let him deal with Jesus in his ear, It may take his focus off of you!

    • wow t, that leaves me speechless! Thank you for your prayers – I know you are a mighty prayer warrior!

  3. Just wow. That’s like the villain of a novel. That is overwhelming malice. I’ll pray for you! Keep strong.

    • What a good analogy – villain! Yep, I was thinking PREDATOR! Might have to write a new song…hmmmm. Thanks Paul, you are a treasure. I really appreciate your prayers! Diana
