Recently one of our Pastors started a Bible Study at our Church. The topic was ‘Spiritual Gifts”. I went and was pleasantly surprised when we each got a questionnaire to fill out to help us determine what Spiritual Gifts God has given us.
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if [someone has the gift of] prophecy, [let him speak a new message from God to His people] in proportion to the faith possessed; if service, in the act of serving; or he who teaches, in the act of teaching; or he who encourages, in the act of encouragement; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy [in caring for others], with cheerfulness. – Romans 12:6-8 AMP
Have you ever had to take a job quiz, or a personality quiz? It was like that. They ask you a series of questions and you fill out your answers. At the end you tally up your score and find out great stuff about yourself. It helps to identify what jobs you would like or be good at. Or perhaps you find out if you are an introvert or extrovert. Well this guide is like that, only better!
After you answer all the questions then add up the rows individually. The most you can get is 15 in each row. Each row has a letter assigned to it. Find the letter in the guide answers and you will know what your Spiritual Gifts are!
Mine came out like this:
15 = Leading Worship
14 = Deliverance
13 = Pastor, Teaching, Exhortation, Evangelist, Mercy, Faith
Thank the Lord I get to lead worship at Janesville Apostolic Ministries I am using the gift that God gave me, hallelujah!
Now that deliverance thing, I am going to have to learn more about that one. I will confess I have known a lot of spirits out there, lol! I guess that will come in handy soon.
