Yes, our American Families look different today than 50 years ago. Today many dads have walked out on their children. Today many Fathers have chosen to abuse their children. Today may be a hard day for all the Single Moms and kids in that position. I have been a single mom – it sucks! Being forced into this position is exhausting. So today, honor the single moms out there too. They are wearing both hats. And then the stepdads, God bless all the stepdads out there. My life and my kids life would not be the same without you Bob. You have redeemed us. You have shown us that God can put the fatherless in families.
Psalm 91:14-16 For the Lord says, “Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will make him great because he trusts in my name. When he calls on me, I will answer; I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him. I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation.”
Today I honor all the ‘Dads’ out there.
All those who choose to step into a child’s life and make a difference.
All those who may or may not be related to a child by blood, but are related by LOVE.
