Cleaning House By Breaking Generational Curses

I recently had a Pastor from another country ask me about breaking Generational Curses. There is varying teaching out there on this subject and I confess I am no expert. So I do what I always do – search it out.  I truly believe that God has given us the Holy Spirit to change the course of our families. Time and time again there was a King in the Old Testament that did not follow God, but in the next Generation his son turned back to the Lord. God is a Redeemer and I believe He can redeem our past, our present, and our future – and the same for our families. God isn’t on the same time table as we are. He is not limited. He can do all things.

I believe the only thing that can break a Generational Curse is applying the Blood of Jesus. It is His Blood that has the Power to break curses. He became the curse so that we would not have to bear it. I wrote about this in one of my Spring Training Posts – Breaking Generational Curses.

GOD’S WORD FOR YOU:

Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit. (Galatians 3:13-14 AMP)

The blood shall be for a token or sign to you upon [the doorposts of] the houses where you are, [that] when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague shall be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt. (Exodus 12:!3 AMP)

And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]. (Revelation 12:11 AMP)
