Anxiety Attacks

Some days are anxiety attacksgray for me. Some are full of sunshine and roses, and some days are not. Today is a day of running and bouncing from here to there. I am grateful, yet stressed. These past few months have been a battle that’s for sure. Sometimes fears and anxiety washes over me like a fog. Has this ever happened to you? I wish I had more control over my feelings. Is there a switch somewhere that I can turn on and off? I am tired today too, I know that doesn’t help. These are the days that I have to ‘eat’ the Word. Even if I’m not hungry. Even if I don’t ‘feel’ like it. I have faith – I just didn’t know I was going to get so many opportunities to use it, lol! Here’s a poem I wrote about how I feel today. I know I’ll have to share it with my counselor. I can hear her now…

God’s Word for You:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

My Prayer For You:

Dear Lord,

So many of us are battling depression, fear, and anxiety – me included. You know some days are good for us and some days are not. No matter how we feel Lord, we turn to You. You are greater than our hearts. You are greater than our feelings. You said you would not leave us – not during the good times, and not during the sad, anxious, and fearful times.  We choose to hang on to You and trust that You have a plan.  Yep, You are the tree and we are the kitty. Just hanging in there Lord. We cast our cares on You Lord – you said you wanted them, you can have them. And Lord, help us keep all our marbles in our vase, in Jesus Name!
