How is life? Good? Bad? Somewhere in between? I get it. This life is full of trials and tribulations. Jesus told us this would happen:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
On the days that don’t seem so great – it is the perfect opportunity for me to stretch my faith. My faith is like a muscle – I have to use it in order to build it and make it strong. If I don’t, then it may tighten up and leave me stuck in one place. Only when I choose to use my faith do I see things from God’s point of view. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (yet!)
Today I am tired, didn’t sleep that well, and my body is sore. But guess what? That was the perfect opportunity for God to show up and build my faith. We had an amazing time in Church today with the Lord. His presence was right there with us! I just wanted to linger in His presence longer. We stopped singing and talking and just rested in Him today. For me, that was a miracle!
So what does the Bible say about miracles? Let’s take a look.
“ And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” – Mark 16:17-18

- Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.
