Hope – it was the number one word searched for in Google in 2014. We are all looking for Hope. She is friends with PEACE and JOY too. Once you are with those three, anything can happen! Here is a video I made a while back when I was searching for HOPE. Guess what? I found her!

God’s Word for You:

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down—
this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
Surely they intend to topple me
from my lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, you people;

My Prayer for You:

Dear Lord,

We confess we have been looking for Hope in the wrong places. We thought our jobs, our houses, our friends, our spouses, and our money would bring us Hope. They do not. Today, we lay down our idols. We burn them outside of the camp. They are like grass, withering away. They are like the tumbleweed blowing in the desert sand. We are tired of chasing the wrong things. Create a clean heart in us today God, renew a steadfast spirit within us, and restore unto us the JOY of your Salvation, in Jesus Name.
