Pregnant with promise – that’s what we are. That frustrating place where current circumstances and the Promises of God are colliding with each other. It’s kind of an explosion at times. And we get to choose – what will we believe?
- Will we look at our current circumstances and despair?
- Or will we look at our Savior and believe what He said?
It really is our choice. Remember Peter? Yeah, he got to walk on water – above all fear and trouble as long as he kept His eyes on Jesus. But look at those waves, well, that’s when he started drowning. I don’t want to drown in fear or despair.
God is faithful and He will perform His Word. He promised. Now He may have a bigger picture than I do, lol. Thank goodness. Sometimes I get lost in the details. I am grateful His ways are higher than mine. And it is in these times I lean on Him more. And learn to trust Him all over again.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Let’s take the leap of faith today. Even if we don’t see things clearly yet. We are at the jumping off place of faith. Let us choose to believe what God says. He is so faithful to us. Sometimes we learn to fly on the way…
This song gives me hope. Let’s fly!

Fly
Baby blue staring in the window pane
Just counting drops of rain
Wondering if she’s got the guts to take it
Running down her dreams in a dirty dress,
Now her heart’s a mess
Praying she’ll find a way to make it
So keep on climbing, though the ground might shake
Just keep on reaching though the limb might break
We’ve come this far, don’t you be scared now
‘Cause you can learn to fly on the way down
Searching for a sign in the night even like a lonely string of lights
That’ll burn just long enough for you to see it
The road’s been long and lonely and you feel like giving up
There’s more to this than just the breath you’re breathing
So keep on climbing, though the ground might shake
Just keep on reaching though the limb might break
We’ve come this far, don’t you be scared now
‘Cause you can learn to fly on the way down
On the way down
You won’t forget the heavy steps it took to let it go
Close your eyes, count to ten, hold your breath and fly
Keep on climbing, though the ground might shake
Just keep on reaching though the limb might break
We’ve come this far, don’t you be scared now
‘Cause you can learn to fly on the way down
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh

I don’t remember if it was a dream or vision because it was a little while ago. I saw my wife and I standing on the edge of a cliff. She looked at me and said, “shall we?”, to which I replied, “let’s”. However, unlike your post, there wasn’t another cliff to jump to. When we jumped the only thing holding us was the Lord. Apparently we have something in our future that will require a leap of faith with God as our only support.
And you know we will just jump. I love how the Sprit of God makes us fearless!. God bless you and your wife. My husband and I are jumping too!
