When I was married my wife used to punch me in the face a lot. I decided I should call the police to protect her, coz i didn’t want to end up getting mad and hitting her back. After i called the cops she quit hitting me for a long time.

I have to admit, when my ex started the shoving/hitting, I would hit back. I learned my lesson quick – don’t hit back – it was worse then.

One cannot begin to comprehend the magnitude of domestic violence until you go through it on a personal basis! Been there done that right along with you Diana!
