A white-tailed deer drinks
from the creek;
I want to drink God,
deep draughts of God.
I’m thirsty for God-alive.
I wonder, “Will I ever make it—
arrive and drink in God’s presence?”

people knock at my door,

“Where is this God of yours?”

emptying out the pockets of my life.
I was always at the head of the worshiping crowd,

This is a very deep and moving poem. The Lord is shining through you in a great way. Hallelujah! This is truly awesome to see, truly heart touching. I can identify with you, I can’t even put to words how much I love the Lord. I guess my greatest gift would be the voice God gave me for singing, When I sing I just feel so free inside, it’s like just me and God and I don’t even notice other people around me. I just thank the Lord from the depths of my heart. Hope all is well with you and yours today. Your poem kind of reminds me of the song as the deer panteth for the water:) God bless you Diana.

Singing – love your picture of freedom. I can relate to that one. There are times where we just sing in the Spirit and we just aren’t here on Earth anymore. I love that place.
