Read a great post this morning. Sometimes just watching the news is overwhelming. There is so much hate. It feels like a “hate snowball” going downhill.

Are we supposed to just sit by and watch? Or are we called to do something more?
But what can I do? The overwhelming nature of the problems tempts me to a victim’s mentality of helplessness. But the all-powerful nature of God calls me to an overcomer’s mentality of proactive love.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)
Thanks Tiffany. I needed a plan of how to deal with all this stuff. You have called us out of our comfort zone, and into the ProActive stance of standing up to the evil. Let us love one another as Christ has loved us. Let us stand and kneel in prayer together. There is good and there is evil. God calls us to stand with the Good . Wrong is wrong. God knows and God sees. Let us shine as lights in the darkness in this wicked time, in Jesus Name.

For us today, the events occurring feel like such a burden on our hearts/spirits/souls. The more I dig into scripture, the more I realize we need his words to move forward and beyond all that we’re witnessing. The Armor of God (Ephesians 6: 10-18) is the only thing to safeguard us as we walk forward.
And I pretty much stopped watching news a while ago. The content, reporting and style of news is not what it once was.

Most days the news is much so overwhelming. And God is the only one who can fix this. People have to choose love instead of all this hating. What happen to the value of a life?
Very good question my friend. When we lose respect for ourselves and each other and the God who made it all – evil prevails. We cannot drive out darkness with more darkness – only light can do that.
