Living Through a Season of Infirmity

It has been a season of infirmity for me these past 7 months. I truly don’t know how I am still here. It must be the prayers of my friends that are bringing me to Jesus. Their prayers are making the difference. Let me elaborarte.

It started in July 2018, a simple ringing in my ear that would not go away. My Dr. sent me to the Audiologist. The Dr. ordered an MRI of my head. He wanted to rule out Brain Cancer. They did their tests and said I had Tinnitus – no brain cancer, thank you Jesus! There was nothing else they could do. Take more vitamin B he said.

Then in September I took a training job at work. It was a promotion, trial period of 3 weeks. I didn’t realize I would be on my feet for the whole time. I loved the job, however my legs went numb from the knees down with stabbing pain in my feet. When they asked me to stay on, I had to refuse due to this medical condition.

I went to my Dr, she referred me to the Neurologist. I did the most painful test ever – where they stick needles in your legs and shoot electricity through them to measure the nerve response. Diagnosis was Peripheral Neoruopathy in both legs. And again, nothing they could do but put me on meds.

I went back to my regular Dr. and she ordered an MRI of my spine now. It was more bad news – Degenerative Disc Disease and Spinal Stenosis (pinched nerves to both legs). They referred me to the Spine Clinic for pain. I saw that Dr. and I have an epidural with steroids scheduled for next week. Hopefully this will work.

In the meantime, my legs started shaking uncontrollably from the waist down. My Dr. has referred me back to Neurology to test for MS in February. Come on, really? I have been off work since November 2018 on FMLA and Short Term Disability. There have been many days I did not even want to get out of bed. I wake up 2-4 times per night due to the pain in my back and legs. I want my life back.

Also, had a breast exam in December – guess what – they found 2 lumps. Seriously? I had to go back for a second time and have an ultrasound – both lumps were benign, thank you Jesus!

Yes, it has been a season of infirmity for Ms. D.  I know that God is able to heal, and I am patiently waiting for my healing. I thank my friends for lowering me through the roof of this pain and into the arms of Jesus for my healing.  If it were not for their prayers, I don’t know how I would survive. Thank you and God bless you all!

This season of infirmity can get up and leave in Jesus Name! I am sick of it! Let the power of the Lord be present to heal!

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic

Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.  Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him.  And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.

When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”

  1. Please do not get on the prescription drug merry go round. You will end up with more problems. The steroid injections do help with the pain for a short time, however steroids rot your bones. So, the underlying problem will get worse. You can use evening primrose oil, ginger, turmeric for this inflammatory pain. Also, I have found kratom quite useful. It is a cousin to the coffee plant. The Ma Doeng species is best for pain. For me, it doesn’t work as well when there are weather changes going on. For the neuropathy, St John’s Wort is very helpful as is Aspercreme’s lidocaine. Also, probiotics (like in Kombucha) are helpful for overall health.

My season of infirmity started in June 1993. Father has given me a dream of my healing, so I am just using the natural herbs that He has given us all to use for our healing until the manifestation. I have learned so much since being ill.

    You are in my prayers,

    Father Bless,
    Dorothy

      • I misremembered kratom strain name. it is maeng da. The bali’s are good too. Mixing them increases efficacy.

        • I’m going to try to remember all that I have learned about dealing with this back issue over the years. It is important to keep the pain level down as it can cause other problems. I went to the ER for for shortness of breath a while back during a period of time when the pain level was over the moon for several months. Guess it was on my face cuz the doc ordered morphine. Never had that before. Immediately the pain left my body, I regained strength, I could move! And my breathing returned to normal. Course it only lasted a couple of hours, and it’s not something I would want to be on long-term, but it did break the pain level.

Posture – try to maintain good posture because when u do not it feeds the pain level. An easy way to align your spine is to lie on the floor with your legs on a chair up to your knees, with your arms out for about 5 to 10 minutes. You can do exercises in bed, like leg lifts, etc. and they still count.

There are foods and herbs that are anti-inflammatory and I am not going to remember them all. Cherry juice, ginger, thyme tea. If you are drinking commercial soda, stop. It leaches your minerals. I just found out that home made root beer and ginger ale are probiotic! Haven’t tried it yetm but plan to. Supplement with magnesium by either epsom salt baths or adding 1 or 2 sea salt crystals to your water. Keep hydrated. Dehydration can cause back pain on top of the DDD. Home made bone broth is good for you, too. I make it at least once a month for the whole extended family when I turn it into soup. There are some excellent greens you can add to pull out glyphosate and heavy metals like cilantro and collard. I tried CBD oil, but it made my pain worse. Not sure if it was a poor product quality.

I highly recommend My Pillow for neck support and alignment while sleeping. I bet his mattress pad is awesome, too, altho a bit pricey. I got a 4″ foam mattress topper from Wayfair for those pressure points and after 3 weeks use, it is also helping.

Find new ways to perform tasks. I have a stool in front of my stove. I can stand for 2-5 minutes at a time, so I work around that. You will be amazed at how much you can get done in spurts. You can only do what u can do. Do not give in to feeling bad about what u cannot.

When I first started with this back issue after having dealt with other health issues, Father told me His grace was sufficient. I will admit I was unhappy with that cuz I just wanted the pain gone! But I am still able to do my blogtalk shows cuz my puter is next to my bed. So I am still useful. As are you with your blog. Yes, this is a trial and I am trying to get through if Father’s way. Is it always calm and easy? Not at all. But I am learning. The more I learn about the body, I discover Father made it to be self-healing in many ways when it has the proper nutrients. But we also re-injure ourselves with prescription drugs and toxins and processed foods. There are people with this problem who have no pain from it! Hmmm.

          Father Bless, dear.

  2. I am a cancer survivor! Every time I told any one that” I was already cured and that the cancer was already gone, this just to mop up the mess!” they would just smile and say, “now you just keep that positive energy dear…you will need it.”
It made me mad! But my husband said not to blame them. They didn’t understand how God worked everything in the spiritual first. They can only believe their eyes.
With Every radiation and chemotherapy treatment… I would repeat over and over… “I am healed! And I am cured! Permanently, completely and forever!!! In Jesus name ! Amen!”
One night…God as my witness..after a hard day…I heard Jesus tell me in my dreams…”as your faith has declared… It is done! You are indeed cured forever!”
When I went for my last internal treatment, I was expecting the Dr. to set up follow ups to see what was next. Instead he came in and said ” I can’t find any sign you ever had cancer! I can’t find any trace or mark , and if anything comes back…I’ll eat my hat!! It’s just gone!”
It was all I could do to not scream I told you so!! But he looked so befuddled, I couldn’t help but laugh.🙃
Of course prayers from you and everyone are powerful help….but ultimately, You have to find an anchor like I did…and stand on it no matter What or How you feel!
I don’t believe Jesus just allows illness without a reason. Maybe the reason is to push you further than you have ever been pushed…to see if you will break and quit living your life with Him. There are many good examples of Godly people being pushed to breaking to purify their faith and strengthen their understanding of God in the Bible. Its a good place to start!
Of course my prayers are with you….but only you will understand the test. And you Will Conquer and succeed! The Victory is already granted to you. Use it! It is your greatest weapon and aid.
Be strong and blessed..! I’m here if you need an ear. Exodus House Ministries on Facebook.

    • Thank you Drea, what a testimony! Praise God. I am standing on God’s promises too and I know He is faithful to fulfill His Word. It WILL accomplish that which it was sent to do. I tell myself I am healed in Jesus Name everyday, just like you did. Your testimony builds my faith and endurance, thank you so much, Diana ❤️💕❤️

      • Dearest Diana. It is indeed my blessed pleasure. There will be rough days coming…whether we are sick or not. But going thru your life, you will find testimony of promises fulfilled all around you. I am more than certain that regardless of how our bodies may change, the Will of God is always fulfiled within us…everyday.
It took a Cancer scare to teach me what is more important in my life…and how to Gracefully change to fit His needs. It was and still is the hardest thing I wrestle with, even now. But …I am learning. And you will too. Not only about how God works for and in you…but also How You can work Within Him! I could go on all day…but I won’t. I am so excited for the miracles and lessons coming your way! You’re gonna be great girl!! I believe in you!!
Thank you for for following my blog. If ya wanna see what hell I went through in my head…go to the beginning blogs. That is when I was diagnosed…and my journey through my own head is there! Keep the Faith! I’m here if ya need me.
        Love ya! Drea!

  3. No! There is no place for infirmity in one of Gods children. No weapon formed against you can prosper. Stand. Be firm in your thoughts and thanksgiving. Just this week I was reminded of Abraham who saw the impossible and chose to consider it not; looking toward what he knew was his instead. Praying on your behalf.
