How Long? – NaPoWriMo Day 13

John 21:16-18 New King James Version (NKJV)
He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.”

HOW LONG?

“How long will you let these men kill my sheep?”
That was the Word The Lord gave to me today
As I watched a newcomer and her child walk away

In the Old Testament the Priests killed
the sheep for a sacrifice for our sins
But Jesus paid with His blood, just believe
He asks us, “If you love me, FEED my sheep.”

So are you feeding the sheep or killing them?
How long will you let these men kill my sheep?

  1. Love the photos. Your message on “how long” resonated with me as God has been talking to me about rescuing the prodigals and seeing past the outward show to the people underneath – and bringing hope and rescue.

    • Amen Michelle. Let us pray and agree that the Prodigals in our lives have an `aha` moment, come to their senses, and come running home into our arms. Thank you Jesus! Blessings, Diana

  2. Heart-stopping. Something to really think about. You have such a gift of expressing religion, writing poetry and adding beautiful photos all which = magnificent! You are so special. xoxo Dawn
