Don’t Disqualify Yourself for What God Has Qualified You For!

Don’t’ disqualify yourself. Especially for something God has already qualified you for.  Before you were born He gave you special gifts.  And guess what – nobody can take them away.  The gifts of God are eternal. They are before repentance. Yes, that what the book says.  Ever wonder why there are so many talented people out there?  That’s how God made them. And He is so good that He gives us all gifts whether we come to Him or not. And He doesn’t take them back either.

So don’t let other people disqualify you. They don’t get to tell you what you can and cannot do with your gifts.  God does. He was the one who gave them to you – not them.  If they don’t want to let you use them to bless them – let it go and move on.  It’s not really about you anyway. Some people get very insecure when they see you operating in your talent.  Don’t be boastful. Don’t be prideful. Just respect their decision and move on. Don’t let people reject you because of their own insecurities.

Being perfect is not based on what we do. It is not to be without fault. We all have faults. We all have shortcomings. The bible definition of perfect is to be complete – and in Christ we are.  All of our weaknesses He uses to display His glory an His strength.  We are whole, we are complete, and we are finished in Christ. Just be.

And for me, I had to repent of disqualifying myself.  I would hear one bad report and throw in the towel. It was easier to quit than to take a stand and say, “No, you don’t get to tell me that. I do not receive that, in Jesus Name.”  God doesn’t make junk. I had to stop criticizing myself because when I did, I was criticizing something God had made.  And who am I to criticize Him and His handiwork?

He made you with love and tears.  And He loves you – right here, right now.

From BibleGateway:

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (Romans 11:29 KJV)

For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.] (Romans 11:29 AMP)

God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded. (Romans 11:29 MSG)

  1. […] There will always be those who accuse you. It’s just how it is in the Kingdom of God. Especially when you are walking in the Way.  Fault-finders, those who are jealous or envious, and those who point the finger and try to disqualify you. Don’t receive it. And don’t disqualify yourself either. God has already qualified you by putting His Spirit within you.  Your anointing is from Him. He is your teacher and comforter. I wrote about that here: Don’t Disqualify Yourself for What God has Qualified You For. […]

    • I pray that The Lord reveal it to you. I came to visit your blog. We haven’t met, but I can tell you love The Lord. There is a hunger and thirst in your poetry that He will fill. I understand your pain having been there myself. May the Lord heal those parts of your heart despite what the arrogant one does. You are a light – and your hope and beauty will make things different for your children. They arise and call you blessed. You are a gift, a Princess, and the Apple of God’s eye.

  2. Love this, Diana . . .and it’s all what He said and promises! Hallelujah! God bless you and your gifts and calling!
