Clearing Your Vision

visionVision. I don’t believe vision is just sight.  It is not just what the Eye Dr. says.  Not just what we see in the natural with our eyes.  I have to admit, if I only looked in the natural I would have stayed depressed! I had to learn to step back and look through my faith – not my eyes, to see.  God has promises that better things are coming.  He has told us that He has a plan for us, not to harm us, but for a better future.  And He promised that all things would work out together for our good.  I don’t need to know all the answers today.  I can choose to trust that He has it worked out, and He will make a way for me when I can’t see.  God is still on the throne and He will light up any and all darkness – He promised!

” Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV)

I think that when we look at things with God’s help our vision is clearer.  When God speaks to us we can see! And I also have to watch the ‘voices’ that I listen to.  Not every voice is clear.  Not every voice has my best interest in mind.  Not every voice will help me grow closer to God.  these last 3-4 days of the New Year I have been practicing my ‘no’.  I will not entertain every voice that comes my way.  I will not repeat something that does not ring true.  I will search out and seek God, His voice, and listen as He gives me vision.

This happened to Cornelius too. This gave me hope, that God hears our prayers, helps us to see clearly, and answers us.Gods Masterpiece

God’s Word for You:

Cornelius Sends a Delegation

“There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment,  a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.  About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!”

And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?”

So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.  Now send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter.  He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.[a] He will tell you what you must do.” And when the angel who spoke to him had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who waited on him continually. So when he had explained all these things to them, he sent them to Joppa.” (Acts 10:1-8 NKJV)

My Prayer for You

Dear Lord,

I ask you to clear our vision.  Take away the things that blind us like our disbelief.  Quiet the voices that are not from You. Clear the clouds, send the rainbows, and open our eyes to see You as you really are, in Jesus Name.

Remember that old song, I Can See Clearly Now the Rain is Gone? Here is Johnny Nash singing it live on the Midnight Show in 1973. Gotta love that jacket! Talk about a blast from the past!

I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.

Oh yes, I can make it now the pain is gone.
All of the bad feelings have disappeared.
Here is the rainbow I’ve been praying for.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.

Look all around, there’s nothing but blue skies.
Look straight ahead, there’s nothing but blue skies. (Ies)

I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Here’s the rainbow I’ve been praying for.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.
Real, real, real, real bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.
Yeah, hey, it’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.

  1. Love this… This is also a goal for me this year. The darkness must go and our vision must clear for He has plans for us that we can not even imagine…

  2. Thank you for the prayer asking God to take away the disbelief that blinds us. I believe and I recieve…Amen.
