16 Inspirational Quotes for Labor Day

What is Labor Day?

  • A day off with pay?
  • The last hurah before school starts?
  • the last vacation weekend for the family?
  • another day to party?
  • another day to do nothing?

I looked it up.  Labor Day is a public holiday or day of festivities held in honor of working people, in the US and Canada on the first Monday in September, in many other countries on May 1.

So in honor of all the working men, women, and children out there I thought I would share a few quotes on careers.
I’ve had alot of jobs in my lifetime.
My first job – housekeeping at at vacation hotel.
My worst job – baling hay at the farm for no pay.
My current job – customer service – yeah, the one job that has the lowest satisfaction rate I hear, lol.
What about you?
How are you going to spend this Labor Day?

labor day 2

What profit is there for the worker from that in which he labors?  I have seen the task which God has given to the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.

God Set Eternity in the Heart of Man

He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good as long as they live;  and also that every man should eat and drink and see and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. ” – Ecclesiastes 3:9-13 AMP
