31 Days of Praying For Your Job

After starting a new job last month this post is just what I needed!

Genesis 2:15 tells us, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” Work is a blessing from God. Psalm 128:2 explains, “You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.” Honest work also honors God. Therefore, we should consciously devote our work to God (“For we aim at what is honorable, not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man 2 Corinthians 8:21).

In his letters to the Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul instructs believers that they must work to eat and be dependent on no one. (1 Thessalonians 4:12 and 2 Thessalonians 3:10-14.)
