Rescued and Changed

Daily Prompt: Four Stars

Write a review of your life — or the life of someone close to you — as if it were a movie or a book.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us LIFE

She used to be a victim – of rape and domestic violence.
She used to sit in a corner of the bathroom – and rock uncontrollably for hours.
She used to go on trips to the psych ward for suicide attempts after ‘playing’ with razors and drugs.
She used to hide from her abuser behind a locked bathroom door in an old run, down mobile home.
She used to be addicted to painkillers and script drugs.
She used to be depressed and not get out of bed for 6 months.
She used to hook up with men who would abuse her – mentally, physically, sexually and emotionally.
Then – She met Jesus, He came into her darkness and carried her out –

and things changed.

    • Thank you Angel – to God be the glory. I am still here despite my efforts to end it all. I am grateful God doesn’t give up on us – even when we give up on ourselves. His love is so much greater than my heart!
